This business was contracted to put a septic tank in my backyard. They completely ruined the pathways the plumbing they broke the concrete driveway with their bulldozer they ripped out two trees by the roots that didn’t need to be done they covered my entire backyard with rock and then they covered it with dirt nothing will ever grow there until this is removed I need the driveway report because it’s broken and all the plumbing to the plants on the outside has been ruined. Fence boards not even bothered to be put back on the fence. I cleaned two wheelbarrels of dirt off the driveway and found it broken I can prove to you definitely it was not broken before the job in Photos. . It’s the most deplorable job I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a con destruction supervisor I’ve had 30 people under me building houses. This business is not double checking their work when they’re finished we got a hold of them professionally through my realtor which they ignored I will include that as well plus photographs this is one deplorable business. The fact that this business doesn’t double check their work. The fact that this business doesn’t double check their work. Or follow up on complaints. I believe the contractors board in Sacramento should be gotten a hold of with a complaint next. I will now paste the original Email which was never responded. The septic tank risers were left behind after we sent the email someone came and picked them up but that was all at nothing more. I will now paste the original email from the real estate
Hello,
I am writing to you regarding your recent work installing a new septic tank at ***, ***. The work was completed on or around Nov. 8, 2019.
This work was done during a real estate escrow that closed on Nov. 15th.
The reason for this email is to notify you that the new owner and realtors are concerned and unsatisfied with the way your company left the property after the work was completed
and would like you to remedy the damages.
The damage includes broken concrete in the driveway, broken fencing, damaged landscaping, including shrubs, broken drip lines and broken drain pipes.
There was also several plastic bottles and debris for the new owner to pick up.
I have attached several pictures for you to review.
The new owner is *** Brereton. *** lost his home and all he owned in the Camp Fire and has been having to rent out of the area until purchasing the home on Cumberland.
Needless to say it has been a very stressful year for him, and this is not ideal while starting over. I would encourage you to reach out to the new owner to try and rectify the situation.
You can reach *** at *** or email ***
Thank you very much.
Sincerely
After receiving the email sent by *** realtor, we advised them we (the owners) were out of town. We were contracted by the seller, *** and his realtor ***. *** was the buyer of the property at *** Rd, *** where we were contracted to work. Despite *** not being our customer, we sent an employee to assess the problems he expressed through his realtor and found he had already repaired the fence. We want to apologize for the damage not being repaired sooner. We were unaware it required an immediate response because we did not know this individual owned a dog. We picked up some debris left behind on the property and advised him that neither the leftover rock nor the cracked driveway was a result of our company being on the property. We do not use heavy enough equipment to crack a concrete driveway for this very reason that we work hard not to damage our customers property. We unfortunately do not know how the damage occurred. We do not know where the leftover rock came from, as our project did not require any rock be brought in and may have been a result of another project that was completed by the previous home owner. The irrigation pipe and landscape damage was a result of the contracted project. It is clearly stated in our contracts that we are not responsible for landscape damage that is directly related to our contracted project. Please review our landscaping excerpt from our contracts: "Landscaping: Magnseon Tractor Service Inc. is not responsible for damage to any landscaping while in process of work stated in contract unless specifically stated in contract. This includes but is not limited to; Sprinkler systems and parts of, Plants and Trees, Mounding of dirt, dry river beds." This project required the replacement tank be set in the existing tank's hole, and there was little room for equipment to fit. We felt that damage to the landscaping was unavoidable to properly complete the install, and was preferred to damaging the house. We are always happy to repair damage to landscaping if it is unavoidable, however the additional cost is discussed with the customer before work begins if that is the case. The employee who spoke with *** encouraged him to contact us directly if he had a complaint so we could address to his satisfaction. We have not received a call or email from *** expressing he was unhappy after our employee visited the property. We are also happy to provide a signed copy of the original contract the work was performed under.
