line locate in my farm yard, was billed for 3 hours work and 100km round trip, $450 .Only 23 km and took less then 1 hour. Told too bad pay itI had used the [redacted] location services before having to dig out broken pitiless water well adapter in my yard. However they failed to locate buried power cable in the yard at the well location so I called the company that was out to do the locate and requested the locate for that location. Received a bill for 450.00 plus taxes. On the bill it states "secondary line locate: $ &450.00. Locate includes up to 3 man hours, 100KM round trip, includes locating equipment, service truck and travel costs". I am only 23 KM from there office, the lines had already been partially located through the [redacted] call. When I called to ask about the extreme high bill I was tothat's the charge and had I been farther away of it took longer then 3 hours it would be higher . Desired SettlementA reasonable bill that reflects the average 70.00 per hour journey person rate charge electrical companies around here use and the km charge that is in line with actual km traveled.
