Review: I decided to try this nail salon because there was a banner in the front that said Pedicure $13. When I entered, there was a man at the counter and I asked him how much a manicure/pedicure cost. He said $23. I thought that was a great price and proceeded to have a pedicure done. At the pedicure area, the woman asked me in [redacted] if I wanted the $27 treatment. I could barely understand her so I said, no, I wanted the $23 mani/pedi that the man at the counter told me about. There was a banner hanging up showing more elaborate treatments, which started at $37 and up. I declined and repeated that I only wanted the $23 special. She proceeded to give me a pedicure complete with a leg massage and other special treatments and since it was my first time there, this was their basic pedicure. When I moved over to the nail area, she wanted me to pay first before getting my nails done, which is normal. She said I owed them $37! I said she was mistaken and that I only came in because of the $23 special. I still could barely understand her and then her boss came over--the man I had spoken to earlier, and he insisted that I pay $37--he had my charge card by then and brought me a bill to sign for $37. I refused, insisted there was a misunderstanding, that I never agreed to anything except the basic manicure/pedicure for $23. They--both the man and the woman--just wouldn't give up and they got very angry, kept insisting I pay $37 but I refused. Instead, I took my charge card back, went to a nearby ATM and got out $23. The man refused to take it, he said he had called the police and I was happy that he had but they never showed up. So, I made an announcement to everyone in the nail salon that I was now paying $23 for my pedicure--which is $10 more than the banner out front advertised because I never rec'd the manicure--and left the money on the counter because he was not going to give me a receipt. I left, very upset. Then, the woman chased me to my car and demanded a tip!!Desired Settlement: I want them to reverse the $37 charge on my debit card AND I want $10 back from the cash I paid. I was so upset at the time that I didn't realize I should only be paying $13 for the pedicure since I never had the manicure. So, $47 back on my debit card AND an apology.
