Madman's Custom Cycle & Parts Reviews (%countItem)

I brought my *** to Jon's shop on December 10th, 2019. On April 21st I finally went and picked up my bike from his shop because none of the parts which I paid him $1500 for had been ordered, and he had damaged parts of my bike without having completed any work. I spent four months being patient, waiting for work to be completed, and he continuously promised me that it would be finished soon. My bike is now in a new shop and they have determined more damage caused by his negligence Jon is now refusing to return any of the money even though I have made him a reasonable offer.
these are the parts that I paid for and never received:
-Set of *** tires which he said were no longer available, which is not true- they are available for purchase from *** and ship to any address in a week's time. Instead of these tires he bought and mounted two cheap mismatched tires that I did not agree to. I now have to pay $120 to have these tires dismounted.
-He was supposed to put on a *** seat, and instead put on a cheap seat that I did not order
-He was supposed to supply a replacement set of front and rear calipers that he apparently had in stock, which he did not.
-A brand new set of bitwell tracker handle bars, vans grips, used controls, never received
-front and rear set of turn signals and a new side mount for the license plate, never received
-new set of gas caps, dash bezel, never received
-new fork seals, new head bearing, new primary gaskets, wheel bearing kit (which I supplied and installed myself), rebuilt starter (was the same stripped start the bike came in with), tank gaskets (which I supplied and he wrecked), new valve cover gaskets. He never supplied any of these.

In addition to this, Jon was supposed to re-wire the bike as well.
The work he did complete on my bike, is faulty. My bike came to the shop with a brand new battery. When I came to pick up my bike from him, the battery was not with the bike. I brought him painted and powder coated parts, individually wrapped. When I took them back, they were all together in a bag, scratched up. He installed cheap metal brackets on my bike that damaged my freshly painted gas tank. In total he had my bike for four months, and none of the work that was promised was completed. Any work that was completed, is now costing me additional money to fix. Over four months I repeatedly asked to see the parts, and was told via text message and over the phone that he had them in a box and the bike would be finished soon. None of this had ever happened, and he never ordered any of the parts. I also offered several times to just take my money and my bike back and take it elsewhere. Each time he said my bike would be done soon and not to worry, but that he had been busy. I never received the parts that I have receipts for, or the work we agreed upon. I have text messages, receipts, and also an email from the new shop to back up my claim. I have emailed Jon requesting my money back (even willing to compromise for $1000) and he is now accusing me of slander and refusing to just give me back what he owes me.

I had an issue with a leaky fuel tank that I was looking for repair. I contacted Jon and asked him about it and described the situation. He said it was no problem to bring it down, and he would do it for $300.00. I asked about his guarantee that I didn't want to do it if there was any chance it wasn't fixable. He said he did them all the time and it was no problem and that he stood behind his work. With that I felt comfortable and he said if it was problem to bring it back and he would make sure it worked. The tank came off the bike and I brought it in. That evening he said it was done, and could I please send the payment right away as he needed the money to pay someone. I said it was not usual for me to pay before seeing the tank was fixed and that it wasn't going to leak, but he kept asking and sent me e-transfer info to pre-pay the bill before I could pick it up. I wanted to try and help him as I felt he was helping me by fixing the tank, and so I sent $300.00. It was sent to his partner Wendy as his information wasn't working. I wasn't able to pickup the tank for a few days and when I did, brought it back to another shop closer to home, that was doing some regular maintenance for me. The weld that was done, affected the location of the mounting brackets (which were not measured correctly when replaced) and the tank would not fit on the bike. I contacted Jon back and he was very upset at the idea of having to redo. I got the measurements needed so that the brackets could be put back in the correct spots, and took it back. He later contacted me saying it was done and ready for pickup. This time there was a strange spray on the base underside and he assured me he tested it. I took it back again to the local shop to put on bike and they called me right away saying that it leaked terribly and didn't hold fuel for even 5 seconds. The job was not done well or right on both occasions. I contacted Jon back again and through text and email and isn't responding or willing to refund or fix.
