[redacted] is requesting a refund because he says that it was our fault that we did not make his tax payments on time and he claims that we did not communicate with him timely. We have all documentation that we communicated with him timely and answered every single question he had. We did not...
charge him additionall fees because of the detailed questions. We prepared his tax returns, went over every single line with him and he had 2 weeks to review his tax returns and APPROVED THE RETURNS. On April [redacted], We efiled his tax returns timely and emailed him a confirmation of acceptance. The email also indiciates that he would be responsoible for mailing the check to the IRS on his own. HE was getting a refund from NYS AND ASSUMED that we were going to make the payment from him. [redacted] owes approximalty 95,000 in taxes and there is no way that I would make the payment on his behalf. We are responsible for preparing the tax returns but never to make any large payments on behalf of any client. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to make the payment to the IRS and there was never a written or verbal request asking for us to pay the taxes on his behalf. We emailed him vouchers and advised him several times that he is required to make payments on his behalf. I spent hours on this client, and you can see on your own how detailed he is with all the detailed emails. There is no way that I would agree for a refund because services and communication were more than perfect. There are NO mistakes on the return and we have documentation that we responded to him timely.
