To whom it may concern at the Revdex.com Mrand Mrs [redacted] originally hired another company, not Maddox Custom Pools After I knew that you had awarded the project to another company, I waved to Mrs [redacted] to say hello because we live in the same neighborhood just to show you that there were no hard feelingsMrs [redacted] waved me down and told me the other company started lying to her more than three times and canceled the contract with them and wanted to hire Maddox Custom Pools to build their Custom swimming pool I submitted everything to the homeowners association, got everything approved When I met with MrAnd Mrs., [redacted] and had several meetings to design the perfect Custom pool that YOU approvedSo I don’t understand why you are not happy Please explain to me why after a day process you are not happy Everything was in black and white, as well as with a 3D virtual drawing of what your backyard would look like They picked the design that I built for themPer my contact it has the perimeter and square footage listed on front pageThe [redacted] family was very happy about the pool process all the way through the entire building process from designing the pool together, staking the pool together, the dig, steel, Gunite, plumbing, tile and plaster Mrand Mrs [redacted] got me in contact with a friend that wanted a pool, because we were doing such an awesome jobI met with that family several times along with a few designs, ultimately they went with another pool company This is when the problem started Mrs [redacted] went over to their friend’s house to look at their pool and it appeared to be larger than the one I sold to themMrand Mrs [redacted] emailed Maddox Custom Pools, and thought that pool we built was not the correct size per the contractI measured it with home owner present and measured twice out to perimeter per my drawing and the signed contract I informed Mrs [redacted] that what her friend purchased I do not know why their pool was larger · I did not stake out the pool · I do not know if the person that staked it out made a mistake · Did the pool walls cave in after the pool was dug before Gunite I told Mrs [redacted] I would go to her friend’s house and measure so we would know for sure, to this day I have not been invited over to measure The main dispute is square footage and if I take out one curve I only gain square feet to pool and the pool loses its shape per the design they approvedWhen I design pool it is about shape and perimeterThis is how Maddox Custom Pools price out each pool per our bid sheet Maddox Custom Pools has been building Custom for over years and Mrs [redacted] claims that Maddox is deceptive really hits below the belt I am honest and truthful on the product that Maddox Custom Pools provides to our Customer Maddox Custom Pools has built more than a dozen pools in [redacted] ***, as well as pools in the [redacted] area and this is the first time something like this has ever come up in all of our years of building pools Please explain to me as a fellow [redacted] resident, the owner Steve M [redacted] who has been in the business for years, and all the other residences in [redacted] that love what I built them and I have also built more pools on your street after I built yours, why is this is coming up after you swam in your pool and loved everything about it After our last meeting to explain and go over everything you were both happy, and apologized that you slammed Maddox Custom Pools on the internal [redacted] page which you retracted and deletedNow you filed a Revdex.com complaint

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint After we fired our original pool builder, we went back to Maddox Pools/Brent M***. We disclosed the plans of the competitor to MrM***, which was a larger pool for less money. MrM*** agreed to work with us to adjust his original design to meet the competitors bid. The competitors design was perimeter. MrM*** increased his pool design to perimeter, and even made comments that he made our pool larger. We thought we where getting a larger pool for approximately the same price, so we signed the contract. It wasnt until I visited a friends pool being constructed, I realized how much larger hers was, but was almost the same perimeterHer pool has one big curve where as mine has more(hope this makes since). Making more curves increased the perimeter of our pool, but decreased the area of our pool. Our original pool design was for perimeter and sqfeet. MrM***'s final design was perimeter and sqfeet. Decreasing the area of our pool by square feet. That is the size of a large area rug and a huge amount of space for a pool! The designer focused on perimeter throughout the building process, even when I questioned the size. This is the first time we have built a pool. We look to our contractors/designers to help maximize our budget while keeping in mind our overall plan. I am certain that MrM*** knew exactly what he was doing when he reduced the size of our pool while increasing the perimeter size. The perimeter size is how the pool cost is calculated. I am not concerned with the pools that you are building, I am focused on ours.
