Sadly, this is not at all the same business as it used to be Our family has been going on vacation to Rockport for decades, and has rented SEVERAL of the vacation rentals from them and always had a great experienceNow that some of the personnel have changed, so has the businessNot only were there issues, but the *** did not feel the need to correct them while we were there, nor have they responded to a written email complaintWe spent right at $to rent a house for a week which had carpet so dirty that within thirty minutes of getting out of the shower our feet would be black (JUST from walking on the carpet INSIDE the house)Yes, we had to wear shoes in the house the rest of the week, it was disgustingHer response to my husband on the phone regarding the carpet was "that's not good." (He told her about the carpet when he was calling her about the fishing lights) The fishing lights on the pier in the back yard did not work the entire time we were there, and she told my husband that "the guy that usually works on them was out of town, I'll try and find someone else." Never heard a single word, and we got to spend the rest of the week with no fishing lights, which is one of the listed amenitiesNICEThat's why most people go to Rockport is to fish - especially when they pay that kind of money to have a house on the water WITH fishing lightsNeedless to say we will not EVER use them again
