I contacted this business through the internet I wanted to obtain a copyright for the book I have written Since the cost of doing this via the Library of Congress was misquoted, I decided to do it through a third party who could obtain the same result at a lower price I filled out all the necessary information and gave my Debit card number
Since I am a very cautious person, about a half an hour after I provided the card number, I went directly to my account to ensure that the charge had gone throughInstead of finding one charge for $I discovered I immediately tried to contact this company--which by the way never revealed what its office hours wereIn doing so, I found that I could not find anyone over the phone soI wrote a contact note to them advising them of the overcharge At the same time I notified my bank that this exorbitant amount had been removed less than an hour previous
I then returned to my email address and found five invoices with different numbers for the same order I immediately got back to the bank and had my debit card deactivated The company returned four of the five invoice charges However, it then went back and charged my account again so I tried to contact them to no availHow they managed to put the charge through when the card had been deactivated I don' know As a consequence, this company still owes me $for the two outstanding charges which have not been refunded
