Review: On May 22, 2014, I had my vehicle repaired at M.A. Tire; Automotive Services located in [redacted], MD. The repair was completed on May 30, 2014; I was unable to retrieve my vehicle because the shop owner could not be located. I was later in formed, he had an emergency. The next day, I paid in full my repair bill, I was provided with a receipt and pick up my vehicle. Unfortunately, the same day my vehicle was picked up, The vehicle broke down not even a mile away from the repair shop. The repair shop was notified, came out, inspected vehicle and stated the shop would be handling the situation from here. I should go home. Conversely, M.A. Smith Tire Company, LLC, is currently holding my vehicle Hostage, until a bill is paid for unknown service. No services were authorized and no notifications of any services were made. The Company refuses to provide any documentation for any services. Documentation has been requested in person with county sheriff present. Once again a refusal to either return vehicle or provide documentation. Still claims have been made for a bill but no documentation. This cost of the bill changed upwards of hundreds of dollars each time request was made for documentation stating I don't want that because I'm getting a discount. The telephones numbers that were provided are disconnected and/or non-working. ###-###-#### and ###-###-####. M.A. Smith Tire Company, LLCResident agents: Marvin S[redacted] and Michelle S[redacted], MD [redacted]Business Location: [redacted], [redacted], Maryland [redacted]Consumers beware of the questionable business practices. This is possibly a scam to extort money from customers.Desired Settlement: I am not sure what can be done. This may be a civil matter that has to be handled in court. After researching the company, I am not sure this business should be performing mechanical repairs. The business is active under the business name: M.A. Smith Tire Company, LLC but not in good standing with the State of Maryland. The company name I was provided with is different and there is no listing of doing business in that other name. I would really like to make consumer aware of the business.
