I did finally receive my lien release in the August 2nd mailing they referenced
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/29) */
It is always regretful when we do not meet the expectations of our valued customers. Unfortunately, this is one of those times. Communication and workmanship issues plagued this project from the get-go, and once we realized that the roof wasn't...
installed to the homeowners (and our) standards, we worked to get it handled.
At this time, all repairs have been completed, and the roof has passed inspection. We've tried reaching our to [redacted] and [redacted] several times via email and phone and haven't been able to connect.
While we regret that the [redacted] had this experience with M4, we have worked diligently to ensure that the project is complete, as well as communicate with our team to ensure that mistakes like this don't happen in the future.
We would be happy to work with the [redacted] on any additional concerns, as we want them to be happy with the appearance and functionality of their roof.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The words in the response are well scripted, but it doesn't change my experience with M4.
I have spoken to [redacted] over the billing process. The additional terms on the back state "25. At no additional cost to the customer, the Company reserves the right to file for supplemental insurance claim due to an increase in costs. 26. Supplements paid by the insurance company for...
additional labor and/or materials needed beyond the original scope of repairs are part of this contract as if contained herein and will be paid to M4 Contracting, LLC either by the homeowner or homeowner's insurance company." RCV is the Replacement Cash Value of the roof. That is the factual cost to replace. The roof depreciates as it ages and the insurance company paid out the ACV, Actual Cash Value, based on the type of policy Mr. and [redacted] have. The billing from M4 is based on the RCV, the factual cost to replace. Therefore, there is a difference in what was paid from insurance and what is showing as due. We did offer a $300 discount which was agreed and we were under the assumption the account was settled at that price.Vincent was new when he signed up the project, he may not have explained properly. I understand any frustration that has arisen from the confusion. I will adjust the invoice for a deduction of $1097.65 as requested. M4 Roofing wants to make sure that all of our homeowners understand the insurance process and what will be billed.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. To restate, M4 will zero out our balance, close our account and not work on our gutters. I would like to receive a final invoice that states we owe nothing and are finished with this project so that I have the peace of mind knowing it is really done and closed.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
M4 Roofing has been in contact with [redacted] and [redacted] about this issue. A full repair is being coordinated with the homeowners to ensure the problem is taken care of.
