Review: M.Lato failed to complete work. I'm in month 11 of a job that was initially estimated to take 2-3 weeks. M. Lato left the job in December 2013 due to freezing conditions and hasn't returned. I'm at a loss to understand why all the delays and I question weather his commitment to complete the job is valid. After starting the job by removing a substantial amount of top soil from my yard (approximately 13 dump truck loads) the pace of work was between slow and stop and remained that way for four agonizing months. Due to the lack of accurate communication between M.Lato and his crew, the risk of mistakes was always a constant concern of mine. Mistakes cost money and it seems M. Lato perhaps has lost interest in completing the job. Although he has not been paid in full, I end up with the dirty end of the stick when it comes to the time, effort, and especially the remaining cost of completing the job. My driveway is torn up and unpaved, my front yard is a mess, drainage is left incomplete and plant beds filled with rocks instead of soil. If there is/was a problem that has gone unaddressed I would have preferred it be addressed and we move on. Instead I have been pushed to contact resources like the Ct. Revdex.com to see if and how this problem can be remedied. This may sound like a mess but M.Lato's associate Jay estimates 2-3 days to complete the job. If a few days is all it will take to finish the job I would prefer he do it.Desired Settlement: Invest the time to complete the work that has been committed to by contract. State and deliver a reliable start date and end date. Payment open for discussion but payment in full will be made at completion.
