Complaint[redacted] cashed the $6500 draw and did not finish the promised job.My house flooded in July 2014, [redacted] was recommended to me by another contractor. I spoke with him, got the details of how to repair the house. Insurance company and mortgage company took forever to get checks issued. [redacted] requested a $6500 draw, $5000 of which was supposed to be for custom kitchen cabinets. He cashed the check the first week of Nov, 3-4 wks later, he installed in stock cabinets from [redacted] offered to fabricate some of the other cabinets. Told me the week before Christmas that he needed 6 full days for completion.. It is now February 11, 2015 and the house is still not done. I text him and asked for a refund, and I will hire someone else to complete the project. He agreed and said he would get back to me in 3 days with numbers, then said he would refund me money but was waiting on other people to pay him first. That was 3 wks ago. He has not responded to texts, phone calls or emails. I'm still living in a construction site and need that money to hire someone else. The sub-contractors that he hired to catch him up on time, installed my crown molding... upside down. He would send his employee out to the job site, without the materials needed or a list of things to do. He would work for a couple hours and then would leave. Desired SettlementI paid him $6500 it is going to cost me $3500 to finish and fix what was done/done wrong.
