Review: The business is a hair salon that advertised a consumer deal on Yelp (pay $50 for $120 to spend on any services). I called the salon and spoke to the owner, [redacted], inquiring about the prices. He told me that the price for full-head highlights including a wash and blowdry is $125.00. I made an appointment for the same afternoon (this incident happened today 3/**/14) and then proceeded to purchase the Yelp deal. After learning that I had purchased a deal on Yelp, the business owner called me and told me that he didn't know I had purchased a deal. The regular price for highlights should instead be $240.00 (double the price!). This is outrageously unethical and outright shady business practices! No matter what, this business never planned on honoring this deal. Their intentions were to trick consumers into paying more once they purchased a deal. This is not only false and misleading advertising, but also intentional fraud.Desired Settlement: I demand the business to contact Yelp to issue me a refund immediately and remove all their false and misleading advertising on Yelp. I am also filing this complaint to have this made public so consumers will be made aware of the shady practices of this business.
