I took my 2001 freightliner toterhome to lou bachrodt freightliner in Ft Pierce, Fl.
We were on a week long vacation and it was getting stuck in gear. I called and they said bring it over tomorrow and we will look at it. Great, right. Took it there the next day. First thing they say is it has a cat motor. We cant work on it. I said the problem is with the transmission, not the engine. They say ok, we will look at it. I left and then called and ask that they replace the rail position sensor on top of the trans and not do any diagnostics. Service advisor says ok. Next time I talked to them I was told the technician didnt think that would fix it and he was not gonna replace it as I ask and he did some diagnostic work and said that the huey pump was bad on the engine. Again I ask that they dont diagnose anything. I have owned my automotive repair shop for 25 years so im no dummy when it comes to this st. I ask them later to take a wiring connector apart under the vehicle and clean wire with electric parts spray. I was told they couldnt do that because of liability issues. I heard that phrase several times. Guess there trained to say that when they dont want to do something. So overall, service was poor, very unhelpful. Mind you I was 1000 miles from home with a truck that wouldnt shift. At my shop we go out of the way for people traveling, we give them rides to hotels and pick them up. Sometimes even loan them a car. We drop everything to get them going and even stay over if need be. So 266.00 later nothing done. The final straw was I couldnt pick it up that day because it was left locked behind the gate. No one could stay over or meet me later to get it. The next day it was left out and I was told the keys would be left in a certain spot and they were not. And then when I get in there, All my dishes had been thrown out of the cupboard along with coffee grounds that was in the cupboard. Several broken cups and bowls. I drove 1000 miles to florida and nothing fell out of the cupboards and whoever was driving it must have been going like hell to cause that to happen. At least they could have cleaned up the mess. I would not take anything to them again! Also ask for a call from the service manager, havent recieved one yet. They did ship me my keys.
