Dear Sir,Yes, this is currently under investigationThere is nothing that I am able to share with you as this is part of an active investigation into fraud and criminal theftThe agency or representative that called only needed to verify from you the information that it was indeed your credit card that was compromised as well as that it was not an authorized chargeThe credit card charge was bounced back to us with 'Name/Address of Cardholder Withheld" which means that, for some reason, who was bouncing the card did not want to be shared - which is highly unusualThis is an active investigation and I cannot comment further on this issue - but you have our sincere apology if the representative hung up prematurely and could not answer any details about the caseRegards,LookInTheAttic & Company, Inc
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12585175, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:The business claims I "bounced a payment" The payment was not bounced I paid for the items with my credit card When shipped, the items were the wrong items, I returned the first items at my own expense and requested payment from the company for the cost of their mistake The second set of items were also the wrong items The company provided a shipping label for the second return after I requested a full refund, and I returned the incorrect items The company then refused to fully credit me for the return and stopped responding to my emails I submitted a dispute through my credit card company and the credit card company arbitrated the dispute in my favor After that, Look in the Attic filed a collection report without attempting to contact me I have multiple emails documenting my attempts to resolve the issue. The item requested was door hardware The knobs they send didn't match the rose (they were different finishes) I have pictures of the incorrect items from both times they were shipped to me.I had zero incentive to return the items had they been correct I ultimately bought the correct knobs from another vendor, paying more than the Look In The Attic listed price (again, I have documentation)Why would I have returned them if they were correct? Regards, [redacted]
We are not offering any resolution - any dispute or bounced charge is referred to a collections agency as outlined in the Terms of SaleYou can discuss this issue with the collections agency.Regards,LookInTheAttic & Company

This was shipped with trackingThe customer is well aware that they have a valid tracking number and the shipping company could not deliver because the customer left off the suite number -the customer needs to actually be a responsible person and use the full address and, when they make the error
and do not provide the full address, there is a reshipment feeThe customer has already made claims about us being a fraudulent store even though they can track the package and see easily online it was not delivered because the customer refused to provide a suite numberThis customer has already stated they will charge back - and we will respond and forward it to the collections agency
We do apologize on behalf of the manufacturer who could not keep their scheduled and promised delivery date. The funds were returned to you within a few business hours of your request. The refund was made in full for you. We do try to provide you with the best information available to us from the...
manufacturer - in this case, they did have casting issues of the brass pulls are were unable to keep the date. We do not have a solid new date from them, either. We did make the full refund for you as quickly as we could once we knew you could no longer wait for these pulls. They are not available anywhere from any of the manufacturers retailers.Regards,LookInTheAttic & Company, Inc.
Refund was completed. Please check your credit card.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
The business owner is still attempting to say the address was incorrect. That is untrue regardless of what he is attempting to show on his Yahoo order system.1. A suite number ([redacted]) WAS included on the order but was not used in shipment.2. A suite number while helpful IS NOT REQUIRED for delivery. ALL DELIVERIES GO TO THE SAME DESK IN OUR OFFICE AND WAS NEVER RECEIVED. If there was some issue with the owners shipping method that is their issue, not mine. We are over two months from the order date and I still to this day do not have the product I paid for.3. I would love to have the item I ordered, but I will not pay a second shipping cost for a shipping mistake made by this company - especially when I don't think they really will send it to me - They could have sent it by pony express and gotten it here by now.Thank you,[redacted]

As shown online, the customer ordered the item and requested it be shipped to a multi-office complex. The customer did not add their suite number on the shipping. The shipping company could not deliver as addressed. This is clearly stated on the shipping notices. We do have proof the customer did not provide the suite number on the original order and we have provided such proof. The customer has stated to our representatives that they have disputed this with their credit card company. We are awaiting the dispute and we cannot do a duplicate refund until the dispute is settled. As stated in the Terms online, disputed transactions are handled by our collections agency. Here is the digital link to the original order (all orders are digital and stored): [redacted] It is clearly missing the Suite number for his building, and cannot be delivered as addressed, as stated on the online tracking.1. Customer ordered online using the IP Address [redacted] for [redacted], MO.2. Customer works for a company that has a suite number on their shipping address.3. Customer entered their own information at checkout and did not add the suite number as shown on the digital order system: [redacted]4. The shipping service cannot deliver as addressed - items were returned to us.5. Reshipping fees would apply since this is obviously the customer error - they must pay for the reshipment.6. Customer no longer wants the items - an 18% restocking fee applies per the Terms of Sale - and shipping charges are not refundable.7. Any credit card disputes are charged the dispute fee as shown in the Terms of Sale online and forwarded to our collections agency. It appears that the customer simply did not put the Suite number on their address, as such the shipping service could not deliver it.The customer may a) pay the reshipment fee and provide the complete address or b) have the item refunded per the Terms of Sale.Regards,LookInTheAttic & Company, Inc.
