Longleaf Reclaimed timber took a deposit for an order from JenniferDue to the nature of a small business and unforeseen events, we contacted Jennifer and apologized that we would not be able to fill the order at that time and offered a full refund along with an apologyJennifer was still interested in us fulfilling the order, again we attempted to fill the orderHowever time permitting, we contacted Jennifer again and we were clear that it would not be possibleA refund was taken by Jennifer and the check cashedAll money was refundedWe are a small business and always operate in a professional manner and it is always a priority to make the customer happy and provide great customer serviceIn this case we were clear that the order was not able to be fulfilled, and money refunded
I am rejecting this response because:At absolutely no point during the course of our interaction was it EVER stated that the order would not be filledIn late January, Bryan asked my husband Jake if "we would be more comfortable if the deposit were returned." We replied that we would be, received the deposit, and cashed itIt was our understanding that the order was still being filledIn fact, after returning our deposit, Bryan stated to us that the order would be done "in two more weeks." He also at some point told us it would be done March 1stHe ALSO at some point told us that the dresser "skeleton" was begun and the bedside tables were completeWe were never told the order would not be filled and in fact were given the impression it was in progress (due to the side tables being completed). We discussed the "nature of a small business" with Bryan on our first day at Longleaf when we originally created the orderMy husband is a full-time musician and we completely understandIt is because of this understanding that we have been flexible, more than patient, and continued to pursue Bryan because WE WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT HIS BUSINESSHowever, having a small business does not mean a person can repeatedly ignore customer attempts at contactWe have called, left voicemails, texted, sent messages through his sales people, and have never received the message that Bryan did not intend on completing our order. If Bryan intends on not completing our order, we would like a personal message via phone call from him saying soIf he is indeed intent on providing "great customer service" and "making customers happy" as he states, and our bedside tables are complete (as he stated they are), we would like to purchase them at this time
