I was told by a friend "If you hire someone for a job and they ask for a portion of the money up front then they don't have much of a business". I found out the hard way that Lone Star Custom Patios/[redacted] Jr. is such a business. Mr. [redacted] failed to complete the job after being paid money for materials. Do to my persistence I was able to recover some of the material purchased with my money. A business released material purchased and Mr. [redacted] dropped off material behind my fence in the alley and sent me a text notifying me it was there. Mr. [redacted] would only communicate by text and would not speak to me on the phone or in person. Mr. [redacted] was given every opportunity to explain any problems that he was possibly having and he declined to do so. Lesson learned cost me approximately $500.00 dollars and a lot of my time. It appears Mr. [redacted] can do good work when he wants to, I guess I just caught him at the wrong time. Good luck if you decide to hire him.
