London Terrace Apartments

Review: In June of 2014 I [redacted] went to London Terrace Apartments to apply for an apartment. In the process of applying I was responsible to pay $50.00 for application fee and a $200.00 money order (MONEY BACK GAURENTEE) for a security deposit. During the process of my application the sales associate by the name of [redacted] attended me, and as we proceeded to initiate and finish up any paper works, [redacted] wrote on the money order in the area where it says "pay to the order of". She wrote " pay to the order of [redacted]. Now as part of the agreement, if I do not qualify for an apartment I am entitled to my money back. When I received a phone call stating I did not qualify I than received the same money order that was written on by the associate, and was told I can take the money order back to the place I purchased it and with my receipt they will return my money. I found that kind of impossible to believe since the money order already read pay to the order of [redacted]. I did as I was instructed and even went to the maufacturer (Moneyram) and was told I personally cannot do anything with the money order. I than called London Terrace again, and was told to send them the money order they will try to retrieve my money. It is now mid November and my request for my money to be returned has been ignored. I maintained copies of all documentation including a letter I wrote to the office manager exclaiming a return. I called again today 11/13/2014 and again spoke with sales associate [redacted], and asked her if I can speak with Supervisor [redacted] whom claims is in charge of all sales and agreements. I have not gotten any response or satisfaction, and I am requesting London Terrace do their part in returning my $200.00 for this was simply a "security deposit" should I not qualify for the apartment, it would be returned to me.Desired Settlement: I am requesting London Terrace take responsiblity in completing their terms of agreement with my $200.00 security deposit be returned to me in full
