Lokl Gourmet

Lokl provides a hot lunch meal service to my son's school. We ordered the meal plan in Sept 2019 after communicating with Lokl to ensure we could receive a refund if he did not care for the food. Lokl confirmed we could.

On Oct 2nd, we requested a refund by email to the owner Mike L, who we had previously communicated with. Over the next 3.5 months, we tried by email, phone, calling colleagues, texts, etc. to receive a call back or communication from Lokl and Mike to no avail. In communications with other staff at Lokl, we were assured we could have a refund, which supported Mike's original communications/email to us. After 2.5 months on 11/19, Mike finally answered his phone and again committed to the refund, blaming his technology platform ("***") for making the refund difficult. He committed again to the refund (pro-rated by the 3 weeks we used the service/food), and committed to sending an email confirming it was complete. None of those things happened. And again multiple attempts to communicate with Mike and Lokl in December have been unsuccessful. Even calling his colleagues and business have proven unsuccessful. I've now filed a claim with the credit card company and am writing this complaint so that others who are considering doing business with Mike and Lokl Gourmet are fully aware of their business dealings.

I'm attaching our email communications, but there are also unanswered phone calls from 10/10, 10/15, 10/25, 10/28, and 12/27.
