I purchased a gift card and they charged me sales taxIs that legal? I've never paid sales tax on a gift card anywhere else!
Review: A fellow named [redacted] called me one day - I think out of the blue, and talked me into setting up a business. He didn't make it clear at all what it was about but emphasized that I could borrow up to $100,000 interest free for 18 months. He did not explain to me what all this was about and what it would entail. I did not want to set up a business but he said I had to to apply for a loan. So I did - in Florida. Why Florida, I do not know. He put me in touch with a fellow in Utah who told me I had to get a D&B number and an EIN, and set up credit for this new business by applying for credit at about 10 different business. I did not want to apply for credit. I did not want a new corporation to deal with. I did not want to engage in internet marketing - that was not explained up front. The up-front emphasis was that I could borrow up to $100,000 interest free for 18 months, and then there would be some interest if it wasn't paid off by then. All this cost me $3900. I have asked for a refund, or even a partial refund, several times, to no avail. I do not remember the exact dates of my numerous phone calls to [redacted], except the one on 9/13/14.
It turned out that I did not need a new business or corporation. I did not need a D&B number or an EIN, and the application for a loan turned out to be a Citi credit card with a limit of $6000. I could have applied for a Citi credit card on my own with no cost to me, and gotten the same results.
I feel like I was very very misled, that $3900 was an exorbitant amount of money to set up a corporation in Florida (filing fee of $25 or so), and plug my name into a boiler plate website that sells stuff. I was supposed to market this website to friends and family, none of which were interested. I spoke to [redacted] several times and asked for relief, and he kept talking me out of it, saying it will get better soon, which it never did.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund, preferably total, of this scam investment. I am 71 years old and not in a position to waste any of my meager funds.
Review: Logical Business Set Up was contracted by [redacted] Solutions to generate an LLC, a credit repair website and $60,000 of business credit. The first two I already had through [redacted] but [redacted] said that they wouldn't be duplicated but would show the business expanding. I was never contacted by L.B.S. and no services were rendered for the $17,100 they took from me. I disputed the charges through the banking system but to no avail. L.B.S. produced a false document showing several contacts. They also never produced an LLC, credit repair website nor any amount of business credit.Desired Settlement: The return of my $17,100, for which they produced nothing.
