Called for a residential lock out service. Was quoted $29.99 service call fee and $35 service fee, confirmed a total cost of $65.00 was charged $125.Called for a residential lock out service when we locked ourselves out of the house. I asked the person on the phone how mich it would cost and was told $29.99 for the service call and $35.00 for the service fee. I confirmed with her on the phone that it would be $65.00 total and was told "Yes.". When the technician arrived he told us it was $30.00 for thw service call (basically $29.99, which ws fine) and $95.00 for the service fee. When I told him that wasn't what we were quoted on the phone he said this was something he dealt with all the time, that the company we spoke to was just a dispatch company and rhey regularly misquoted the price to customers. We paid him and he did a wonderfyl job. I contacted this company regarding this issue and was told their operators read from a script and I was tokd the fee "started at $35.00". I repeated back to the supervisor/manager the conversation I had with the operator and she said she would pull the call and call me back. Have yet to hear from anyone at this company. Desired SettlementI want a refund of the additional $60.00 over the original quoted price. I had no choice but to pay the technician since both my husband and I were locked out of the house with no shoes and no car keys.
