I had issues with my loan transaction. It was very unprofessional how everything was handled. I first started out working with Todde G. I understand that getting a rate locked in and paying for the rate to be bought down can be hard. When I approached Todde with the rate I could get with PennyMac he asked me to give him a few days to see if Loanstar could match it. After the few days he told me we were all good and it was a go for the match, so when I got the docs to sign it was incorrect. The match was suppose to be a lender credit of $2331 for a 4.75% interest rate. He had to go back to the sales desk and ask what happen which caused things to be delayed a few more days. When he did find out that they were not able to match what PennyMac had quoted me, it was too late to switch which in turn made me loose out on the lender credit and they wanted me to pay $400.00 for a 4.75% interest (which I got them to waive). He then made the call to cancel the appraisal the day of,thinking that I was switching companies which I had told him I was not switching. ( By the way, the listing agent waited an hour for the appraiser because nobody bothered to give her a call and tell her nobody was coming) So they had to schedule the appraisal again which cost us a few days and it made us sign later since the underwriter wanted a second opinion on the appraisal. I then lost another $65.00 because I was going to get rent back provided that we signed on time which I believe we would have if none of this had happened. We never got a call from Jon K who was the main loan officer on our transaction, letting us know the follow up on our file. I only found out that the review on the appraisal had come back good because I had to hound them. When it came to sign our loan docs I noticed a loan officer name Brad D on them. I had never dealt with him nor did anyone bother to tells us that the loan team were working with had left the company.
Anya is a great sales women. She will sell you the product and get you going. She will promise you the world. They will also tell you they are not the cheapest but the best in the world. DON'T BUY IN TO IT LIKE I DID. First, didn't close on time. Second they waste a whole week of doing nothing. I asked multiple times do you need any other documents. "Nope you are good" On closing day, I get a laundry list of docs that I need to provide. Okay, no problem, here you go. They said, it would take 24 hours to review. We are now past closing date. At this point I still have no idea what my exact cost to close is. Next, they call me the following day at 4:30 pm that you are ready to close. They expect me to drop everything and be at the Title Company in 30 minutes in rush hour traffic 30 miles away. There's no way I could possibly make it. They do not understand other people have to prepare for these type of things. They think you are just waiting in your car all day waiting for that call. DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. DO NOT DO IT. GO WITH A DIFFERENT LENDER.
