Consumers should steer far away from [redacted] of Lloyd Sorter Construction. [redacted] completed a remodel of a kitchen and a bathroom for my elderly father during the time period beginning early November 2012 through mid-March 2013. The majority of [redacted]'s workmanship was seriously substandard and he did not acquire permits from the city at any time during the project. [redacted] took it upon himself to complete the electrical and plumbing work even though he has no license, no certification, and little knowledge. My father came to find out later that [redacted]'s electrical work violated numerous national/state electrical codes (i.e. ungrounded circuits, no GFCI protection, altering of switchbox allowing splices to be exposed inside the wall, overloading branch circuits). [redacted]'s inept plumbing skills resulted in leaks below the kitchen sink and behind the bathtub and the water spout in the bathtub fell off. [redacted] failed to install backer board behind the shower area. He merely attempted to silicone the shower surround to the wall studs. [redacted] failed to properly install the "floating" Adura kitchen floor. He decided to cut off some sections of the flooring's tongue-and-groove and used silicone to keep these sections together. [redacted] professes to be a finish carpenter; however he had mismatched miter joints on the molded trim, kitchen cabinets not mounted flush, and wooden baseboards cracked in places. My father incurred a great deal of additional expense and inconvenience due to [redacted]'s poor workmanship. My father had to hire a master electrician, a master plumber, and a professional flooring installer to redo and correct what [redacted] had messed up. My advice is that you should not use [redacted] Sorter for any home project, large or small. You will regret it just as my father has.
