LJB Consulting was employed by our CPG company to generate press. Over a year LJB Consulting did not generate a single press event. Further, Leila regularly did not answer email, provide updates, or track inquiries. I do not recommend working with LJB Public Relations. Please feel free to contact me for additional reference details.
LJB Public Relations work for our CPG company was not done successfully or completely. LJB Public Relations did not generate and has not generated a single press event for our company over 9 months. Additionally LJB Public Relations did not provide the progress updates requested and agreed upon. When asked for the updates, LJB Public Relations did not return emails or phone calls. The few updates received (after many requests) were incomplete (did not include all contacts) and were duplicates of previous updates (appeared copy and pasted from initial updates and contained no new information or progress).
Finally, one media inquiry contacted both LJB Public Relations and our company (we conducted separate outreach on Linkedin which resulted in contact). LJB Public Relations failed to follow up with the inquiry. We tried to loop LJB Public Relations into the conversation with the media contact and received no response or acknowledgement from LJB Public Relations. After receiving no response from LJB Public Relations, we worked independently with the inquiry to generate our own press event.
Based on this experience, we do not recommend Leila Belcher and LJB Public Relations.
LJB Public Relations was employed by our CPG company to generate local, regional, and national press. LJB Public Relations did not generate a single press event for our company during our 5+ month engagement. Additionally there was very poor communication from *** (owner of LJB Public Relations). *** regularly did not return emails or voicemails and did not provide the routine updates requested and agreed upon by both companies.
LJB Public Relations was
employed by said CPG company to attempt to generate press for the company. As
expressed to the company from the beginning, there was no guarantee on which
media or how many outlets, or if any, would be secured as the media has the
final say as to whether or not they will feature products. As a PR Professional
(for over 15 years), my job was to make sure that the press was introduced to
the company’s products, which I did successfully. To this day, the media is
still considering the products for upcoming pieces and it is very likely they
will run something from the work that LJB PR did under contract - sometimes
press can take up to 12 months to come to fruition. Over thirty media packages
were sent out, from the company, to the press during our time working together
and many more media were contacted. Unfortunately, it is ultimately the press'
decision not to feature the company’s products. All appropriate outlets were
contacted during the four months of paid work and LJB even provided a free
month (the 5th month) of work for the company hoping to achieve great results.
LJB Public Relations is truly sorry that the company has negative feelings
about the campaign and work provided, but all work disclosed in the contract
was completed. LJB Public Relations has landed successful media placements for
countless clients that have provided 10-50X returns on investment.
Unfortunately, these results are not always provided by the media as that is
the uncertain nature of media business.
Again,
I’m very sorry the company is unhappy with the end result, but as I stated before,
the media has the final say in whether or not the product(s) get featured. All
services stated in the official contract (attached) were provided and there was some repetition
in the updates when the status had not changed.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:LJB Public Relations did not fullfill the obligations agreed to by both parties. LJB Public Relations did not provide the progress updates requested and mutually agreed upon. As such, LJB Public Relations failed to prove work was conducted and completed for our company. Further when asked for the updates, LJB Public Relations did not return emails or phone calls. The few updates received (after many requests) were incomplete (did not include all contacts) and were duplicates of previous updates (appeared copy and pasted from initial updates and contained no new information or progress). Emails attached in previous messages showing all communications with LJB Public Relations. LJB Public Relations did not do work successfully or completely or as agreed to by both parties. The end result: LJB Public Relations did not generate and has not generated a single press event for our company over the past 9 months and failed to prove work was conducted or completed.
Sincerely
