This email is in response to customer ID [redacted] This was sent to Lizer of Wisconsin, Inc by mistake, we are Lizerscapes Inc DBA Lizer Landscape and NurseryI will agree that we emailed each other on 5-2-about replacing the grasses She also mentioned that one of the trees were leaning from over the winter and that she thought one was sparse on one side She also noted that one of the Hydrangea looked like it was pushed out of the ground from winter (I assure you I didn’t go there over winter and pull it up)My response to her indicated that we would replace those grasses and that they could easily straighten the tree (5-6’ Juniper) by themselves We serve several hundred customers a year and have had others straighten their trees multiple years after they have been installed I also said she could step the root ball down on the hydrangea as it was most likely lifter from frost movement. When I emailed her I did not give a timeline as to when, as a company policy we generally do not do any replacements until after Memorial Day as the weather isn’t always the best for growing conditions and we also do not receive all of our plant orders until late May We still have yet to receive all of our plants from growers as some varieties still are a little small do to the slow start to the growing seasonBelow is a copy of her email that was sent to me on 5-2-Good Morning, Brad! Welcome back to Spring!!! I know last summer when you stopped by (Dorothy Lane) you mentioned that you would re-evaluate the condition of the Arborviteas in the corners The one on the south side, which was staked to prevent leaning, was going to possibly have the stake remove That one is straight but it still does not look the greatest still very sparse on the back All of a sudden, this season, the evergreen on the north side is now leaning quite a bitLNeither of the Heavy Metal Switchgrass ever grew Can these still be replaced? I know the year has passed, but you mentioned that you would extend the warranty another year. Also, I am still concerned about one of the Pink Lace Hydranges the one on the far south did not seem to be planted deep enough As of this Spring, it seems to have raised out of the ground even more, exposing A LOT of the rootsPlease let me know what can be done about our concernsPlease note, my personal email has changed to: [redacted] All of my mail will come to my phone Please use this for any emails Thanks! On a side note, I was not aware that you are friends with [redacted] (he goes to my son-in-law for personal training) Lucky guy got to retire!! I look forward to your response,
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I am not satisfied with the response to my complaint As usual, excuses have again been made with no offer of a resolution, except for the replacement of the grasses And I do not buy the excuse that they do not have their current stock yet How is it that a company as large as Lizer doesn’t have their stock, but all other reputable nurseries in the area do and they have started their installations already At this time, the grasses are not even an issue I can live without them, but would like some compensation for what was paidI never once considered the idea that someone came over in the winter to pull up the hydrangea As a reminder, the center bushes were originally planted in the wrong location according to the diagram that I agreed upon The bushes that needed replanting, especially the hydrangea, were not planted fully I am not requesting it be replaced as I have mounded more dirt around it to protect the roots and it is growing, but not as well as the other two It was mentioned as an example of poor workmanship If I had been home at the time of the installation, I would have known that the plan was not followed and intervened myself to have it correctedAt this point, my major concern and complaint involves the Arborviteas and the condition of the mulch I have attached several pictures taken on 6/9/2016, less than years from installation As you can see, the evergreens are rather unsightlyI have attached pictures of both trees, and as you can tell they both look half-dead on one side I am not sure how the South tree will remain straight after the stakes are removed with the curved trunk that it has This has been more apparent since the mulch has pretty much disappeared*See photo* As far as the mulch is concerned, I have done research and sought other opinions The answer has always been that if inches of good quality mulch is installed, it should be good for at least yearsThe purpose of having the mulch was obviously to cut down on the weeding In the past weeks I have spent hours pulling weeds within this areaI have tried to cover up the dirt by spreading the remaining mulch that IS there, but there isn’t enough to do that anymoreThis is not due to heavy traffic! This is in the back of the yard, surrounded by fence, so no one goes back there other than myself to weed and prune I am very aware that mulch needs to be “freshened” up often, but I shouldn’t have to pay for as much as I will need to fill in for the inch depth that should have been installed in the beginning I kick myself for not going through the area right away to check the depth in several places! It WAS thick in a few areas, but not all over Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with the response to my complaint. As usual, excuses have again been made with no offer of a resolution, except for the replacement of the 2 grasses. And I do not buy the excuse that they do not have their current stock yet. How is it that a company as large as Lizer doesn’t have their stock, but all other reputable nurseries in the area do and they have started their installations already. At this time, the grasses are not even an issue. I can live without them, but would like some compensation for what was paid. I never once considered the idea that someone came over in the winter to pull up the hydrangea. As a reminder, the 6 center bushes were originally planted in the wrong location according to the diagram that I agreed upon. The bushes that needed replanting, especially the hydrangea, were not planted fully. I am not requesting it be replaced as I have mounded more dirt around it to protect the roots and it is growing, but not as well as the other two. It was mentioned as an example of poor workmanship. If I had been home at the time of the installation, I would have known that the plan was not followed and intervened myself to have it corrected. At this point, my major concern and complaint involves the 2 Arborviteas and the condition of the mulch. I have attached several pictures taken on 6/9/2016, less than 2 years from installation. As you can see, the evergreens are rather unsightly. I have attached pictures of both trees, and as you can tell they both look half-dead on one side. I am not sure how the South tree will remain straight after the stakes are removed with the curved trunk that it has. This has been more apparent since the mulch has pretty much disappeared. *See photo* As far as the mulch is concerned, I have done research and sought other opinions. The answer has always been that if 4 inches of good quality mulch is installed, it should be good for at least 2 years. The purpose of having the mulch was obviously to cut down on the weeding. In the past 2 weeks I have spent hours pulling weeds within this area. I have tried to cover up the dirt by spreading the remaining mulch that IS there, but there isn’t enough to do that anymore. This is not due to heavy traffic! This is in the back of the yard, surrounded by fence, so no one goes back there other than myself to weed and prune. I am very aware that mulch needs to be “freshened” up often, but I shouldn’t have to pay for as much as I will need to fill in for the 4 inch depth that should have been installed in the beginning. I kick myself for not going through the area right away to check the depth in several places! It WAS thick in a few areas, but not all over.
