Review: Requests for repair and maintenance often went ignored or delayed. There were two instances when we received immediate response: when our closet mysteriously flooded and when we had a sudden fly problem. The windows were letting in snow last winter, and Mr. [redacted] made it very clear that there would be no efforts to repair the leaking windows. For the leaking basement, I was told the that I should purchase a dehumidifier. The lease stated the snow and landscaping were the landlord's responsibility, but I shoveled the sidewalk and walkway to keep in accordance with City ordinance of removing snow within 24 hours.Upon moving out, I had the holes from moving out covered with spackle, but did not sand and re-paint the walls, because most landlords turn over units before bringing in new tenants. These costs are typically not assumed by the previous tenant. The costs [redacted] Residential associated with sanding and painting walls was nearly half of the security deposit. Additionally, Mr. [redacted] made note that certain damages were my fault, but these items were present upon my move in. Of a $645 expected Security Deposit, I received $46.After reaching out by mail and telephone, I have received no response over the last 2 weeks from Mr. [redacted] or his associates regarding reconciliation of the noted items for which I am not responsible and a more detailed explanation of the painting costs.Desired Settlement: I request the $277.62 for items I did not damage. These damages were already present in the unit, with the exception of the top of the refrigerator, which needed to be wiped clean.I also request a more detailed breakdown of the $300 retained for re-painting the unit. I made such a request so that I could reasonably contest the portions for which I was not responsible, but there has been no response, so I request this more detailed description again.
