We received your letter in regards to our customer, *** ***, and her complaint to youThe first emailwe received from Mrs*** was on April 1st (the same date as her complaint to you) to [email protected] addressOur General Manager, Cyndy D*** promptly replied to
here-mail on April 4t11, 2016.We are a unique movie theater with a full restaurant and barEach movie ticket/seat is sold on a reservedbasis so that no other customer may purchase or sit in a seat once it has been sold for any given movieshowtimeOur general policy for tickets purchased either online or at our box office is that they are nonrefundablewhen the request for a refund occurs AFTER the purchased showtirne has transpiredWehave this policy because we are required to report box office grosses on a daily basis to the movie'sdistributor, and must pay them the film rental for all tickets sold - whether there is a person in the seat ornot.In order to complete her purchase online, Mrs*** would have had to click the checkbox indicatingthat she had read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions (see attached) which clearly indicates that"Movie tickets purchased via this website are non-refundable." Unlike her complaint alleges, our onlineticketing system e-mails each customer a barcoded "ticket" which can be directly used to gain access totheir movie (see example attached).Because of Mrs***'s circumstances, we had agreed to send her two passes to attend a future movieshowingWe strive to offer extraordinaTy customer service, but are also constrained within what we cando as a business without providing accommodations that will put us out of businessWould you get arefund to a concert you didn't attend but bought tickets to? What other movie theater would offerrefunds in this circumstance?I hope Mrs*** follows up with you as she has promised to let you know we've resolved her matterto her satisfaction
