I bought a brand new Subaru on July 4th 2016. When the car was sold to me, I was told multiple times, because I was buying the car on the 4th of July, there was a special promotion for a tire warranty, that covered EVERYTHING, this was said multiple times, to let me know that deal will be gone the next day, if I didn't buy at that moment. This special top of the line warranty also included regular wear on the tires. This was important to me, because I drive in the mountains, and with regular tire rotations, my wear bars would show before my lease was up.
I am now at 35000 miles, and my tires are starting to be warn down. I have brought the car in 3 separate times, and each time, I was unable to get a straight answer, now that I took my car in for wear on the steering wheel (Peeling after 2 years?), and worn down tires, I have been told, the sales person didn't tell me that, and I can speak to the finance person, because they do not do those types of warranties.
I spoke with Ms. and reviewed her warranty with her. Her car was in service due to wheel damage and for steering wheel replacement. The wheel was covered by the optional warranty she purchased. The steering wheel was covered under the factory warranty. The tire measurement are at 4/32 which is still considered good and no need to replace them until 3/32. I offered to pay for two tires if she purchased two tires when they do need to be replaced. I attached a copy of the warranty.
Kind Regards
I called the Dealership about having a recalled part signed off for my registration. After explaining what I needed the service technician said he couldn’t sign off and would still have to replace the part and if I didn’t like it or bring it in he would call the DMV and have my car (black listed). Now I’m not sure what black listed is but being threatened Is very inappropriate and causing people DMV issues because I wouldn’t take it to a rude it makes no sense. I would advise someone looking into the service department of this shop. Making threats to potential customers is wrong.
I reached out and spoke with Vincent in regards to the incident so I could look into it more. He stated that his car was fixed in Reno. He appreciated that I called to follow up.
