On October 10, 2012 I ordered two pairs of Westinghouse WHI-4C 4-Channel Intercom Systems at the cost of $87.97. All 4 of the intercoms over a period of time stopped working. I called Buy.com who then referred me to Linearcorp. On 08/28/13 I talked to Rep. [redacted] to see if I could get a replacement for these intercoms she informed me that she would check on it and get back to me, she never called me back.
09/05/13 @03:03pm I talked to [redacted], she said that Linearcorp was a 3rd party company which Westinghouse allows them to use their name, and that Linearcorp doesn’t have a replacement. She said that she is waiting on management to see what they were going to do.
09/24/13@03:32pm I talked to a Rep. name [redacted] who is in the same department as [redacted]. He said a new company took over and told me to contact Gadget Shack. [redacted] also had told me that he would have [redacted] call me that day which she didn’t.
09/25/13@03:45PM I called Gadget Shack and talked with Mr. [redacted], which he said that they had stopped dealing with Linearcorp 6 months ago, and that they have nothing to do with intercoms.
09/25/13@03:47pm I called Linearcorp, and got voicemail. Left message with [redacted]’s voicemail stating what Gadget Shack said and that I hadn’t received a callback from [redacted].
09/25/13@06:15pm [redacted] left me a message (which I still have the recording) stating that I would receive a refund of $87.97 because they didn’t have a replacement. She also asked that I send proof of purchase, which I did; I emailed it to her direct email address that very same day.
09/26/13@06:13pm [redacted] sent me an email verifying that she received all that she had asked for and that it may take accounting a few days to send me my refund. (I still have that email from her).
10/14/13@01:17pm I asked [redacted] did they have an estimated time of when I would receive my refund. She said she would check on it and call me back, she never did.
10/21/13@03:05pm I asked her again if she had had any information yet. She said that she didn’t. I asked her to please call me back to let me know, to this day I still have not heard from her.
10/30/13@01:37pm I tried calling the same 1-800-421-1587 that I have been calling all along, but it would not accept my calls. By now I wanted to talk to management but I couldn’t get though. I surf the web until I found Linear LLC headquarters phone number but I kept being prompt to enter an extension number which I didn’t have that information.
I have exhausted all avenues in trying to get this problem resolved. This company Linearcorp seems to not want to honor their 1 year manufactures warranty on their products.
I would like them to do what they said that they would do that is to refund me my $87.97.Desired Settlement: I would like them to do what they said that they would do that is to refund me my $87.97.
Review: Product M & S SYSTEMS DS-3B Door Intercom Station with Bell Button malfunctioned and company refuses to allow us to send the item back for repair.
