Review: On 20 May 2013 I drove my vehicle a Ford Focus 2000 to Lindsay Ford of Wheaton.
[redacted], service advisor, met me. Informed him about the car that the maintenance light was on and that once in awhile, during a stop, the car would want to cut off. I inform him that I electronic rear window needs to be repaired.
The next day [redacted] called and said that the engine had a head gasket blown. He quoted $3,668.00 for repair. I said no to a new head gasket replacement for the engine. I approved the window to be repaired. He did mention during our conversation that it was time for me to buy a new car, which I answered no thanks.
On 23 May 2013 I returned and [redacted], pointed out the office where I paid the bill for $474.56. I got into the car and the engine was sputtering continuously. I stopped the vehicle 2 blocks away and called [redacted] and explained the situation to him and he told me to bring it back. I had the vehicle towed back to the house and told [redacted] that I would bring back the car the next day, but I would have to tow it to the dealership Additionally I informed him that when I got home I opened the car hood and discovered that the air mask cable was disconnected and the top cover was loose.
On 24 March 2013, I had the car towed back to the Ford dealer ship and met [redacted] and explained to him that the car was accepted without a blown engine gasket initially or how could I have driven the car in the first place. I explained to [redacted] that it was not possible to drive the vehicle to the dealer with a head gasket blown. He requested the maintenance person that had the diagnostics done on the vehicle. We talked about the vehicle and I explained to him that the car was driven without a head gasket blown or else it would have to be towed to the dealer. After our conversation I decided to speak to [redacted] and I spoke to him that I was not satisfied with the progress. So then I met the manager AKA service director ([redacted]) and I again explained the situation that the vehicle was driven by me initially and the engine has no head gasket blown prior to turning the vehicle in to the ford dealer. He refused to assist me and told me there is nothing he can do. I asked to speak to another supervisor and was informed me that he was the end of protocol for complaints. I asked him for tow assistance to have me car towed back to mine home, which he denied.
I suspect someone tampered with the engine after I dropped off the vehicle and then diagnosed it as a blown engine gasket so that I can buy a new vehicle from the dealership. I am requesting that Lindsay Ford pay me for the repair of the blown head gasket. My car is being repaired with Custom Towing Inc and the estimate is approximately an $800.00 bill for engine head gasket.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Lindsay Ford pay me for the repair of the blown head gasket. My car is being repaired with [redacted] and the estimate is approximately an $800.00 bill for engine head gasket.
Review: On July 20, 2014, I purchased a 2014 Ford [redacted] from Lindsay Ford in silver spring. Upon approval of my loan I informed I would not be able to make the payments at the amount they said. I was promised a check in the amount of $1,000 where $83 per month would go towards my payments of the vehicle on behave of Lindsay Ford. I was told the check would come in the mail a week or 2 prior to my first payment due on Sept 3. I called and left multiple messages asking for a return phone call. I received a call back after almost a month of calling by Kyle b[redacted]. He said he was the finance manager. He promised me that he would look into the check and that he knew what I was referring to because it is done for customers regularly. I spoke with him right before labor day and was advised if I don't hear back by the Tuesday after to call him directly. I've left 4 messages on his voice mail since and have not had a return call. I also have yet to receive the title to my new vehicle or my registration. I have left in the messages asking about this issue as well. After almost 2 months of purchasing the vehicle and calling several times a week, I barely receive a call back.Desired Settlement: I want to receive the check I was promised in the amount of $1,000 and my title and registration.
