Review: Concrete not installed to cold weather standards of being covered when cold and snow are coming. Surface problems since not covered. Leaf impressions in surface. Contractor was question the day before and morning of the placement. He assured me that he has been doing this for over 20 years and the cold and snow are not a problem. He was asked about covering with blankets or waiting for 4 days when weather should be better. Surface appearance is bad. Chipping, spangling and other issues. A garden hose caused one spot to open up. The sidewalk walk did not have an expansion joint put in between existing concrete patio's. John Linder knows that we have concerns of getting the 20+ years from job. He knows the appearance it not right since he wanted to wait until the end of August to see if the driveway color changes. It has not and John was called 9/4/14. Since January 2014 I have sent letters to him, phone calls, he has showed a few times but nothing was done for fix his placement negligence.Desired Settlement: 1st give me back my $ 10,000. For Driveway and Sidewalk.2nd choice replace concrete with 3rd party watching.Want to avoid court system.
Review: I hired [redacted]/Linder Construction to install a concrete floor in my barn. The scheduled start date was 6/1/13. I sent him $10,000 on 5/19/13 as a deposit to start work. He finally showed up to work on 9/11/13, more than 3 months late. He worked on 9/11, 9/12, 9/17, & 9/18. He spent two of those four days moving dirt and putting it back where it orginally was. He should not have removed this dirt. He wanted to charge me for that work. I did not authorize it. He was terminated on 9/18/13, having produced only two productive work days from 6/1/13 to 9/18/13. He said he would refund my money from the $10,000 deposit. To date I have received nothing, not even a correspondence. The only correspondence I have received has come from the company, Coolspring Stone Supply, that brought the 2B limestone for the project. They said Linder Construction's check for the limestone bounced and they would have to pursue collecting their money by way of filing a claim with the local magistrate.Desired Settlement: $7,500 refunded to me, ASAP, for work not completed and the total disruption of this project.
