Review: Lawyer [redacted] me when I filed bankruptcy. here is my email to the trustee. Mr [redacted], I filed chapter 7 with Linda Willis as my Lawyer after a divorce. I told her that I only wanted to file 7 if my house was saved in bankruptcy and she said it was ok. I contacted her several times to verify my home was ok. She want respond to me about this or my taxes I've held for a year. Can you please explain my situation and I am filing a formal complaint about her services. I had an appriasal and paid extra money in Sept 2013 to prove my house wasn't worth bedford county assessment but I believe that it was too late and would like to know why she would tell me to do this when she knew the time was over. She never told me to do a reaffiramation of my mortgage which I suppose was her job as my attorney. Thanks so much.Desired Settlement: My fees to hire her and extra money used after I was discharged for bogus charges.

Response:
Ms. [redacted],
In response to the complaint recently filed with your office and pursuant to our telephone conversation of today, I will say that the complainant’s case is still pending. There has been no final resolution yet, although I am hopeful that will occur shortly.
Thank You

Response:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Because I called Bankruptcy court and they said I am discharged and I have recieved final notice. Its been almost a year since I was discharged and she is still saying I am not. My house was included and I want my money refunded she took from me in later part of 2013.

Ms. [redacted],
Thank you for contacting me regarding Ms. [redacted]’s complaint. I am always hesitant to disclose details about an ongoing case and one in which I have a duty of confidentiality. However, I can say that the client has received a discharge of debt from the court, however the case is still considered open by the court because the Trustee had previously filed a Notice of Assets. I do not know yet whether he intends to take any action on that notice and I am optimistic that he will not. I do not know of any detriment that the client has faced because of the case still remaining open.

Lawyer unable to testify truthfully when the outcome doesn't benefit her decision. Lawyer is also very rude and difficult to work with. Lawyer will not perform all duties that are included in her expensive fees. Lawyer also does not return your calls or address your concerns genuinely in a timely manner.
