stay off tanks and the job needed further site grading. The steps were installed the way they were because of the heights from door to drive. Original 2 steps but would have made approx two 9” steps. Thought it would be better to have 3 approx 6” steps for a door that was going to be the main entrance. LTL have agreed to remove at no chart when customer is ready
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
LTL alleges that no storm water or run-off plans were present on the plans used to install the septic. Please find the attached plans from [redacted] dated July 2016, 3 months before LTL was asked to install the septic tanks. No other plans were forwarded to the general contractor and these plans were submitted to the Board of Health or the Town of Weston for Approval prior to septic installation. LTL also alleges that attempts were made to install the tanks according to the provided plans. Based on photographic evidence of our job site during this time period, no evidence of any additional excavations sites where the tanks were originally supposed to be placed exist. LTL also alleges that ledge was encountered and had to be hammered through. If ledge was encountered at the originally planned site of the tanks necessitating additional effort and cost, but not at the site where the tanks were placed according to the as built, what is the source of the exorbitant cost resulting in a bill in excess of $26,000? Moreover, if ledge was encountered at the as built location of the tanks as well as the originally planned location, why not place the tanks where the engineers plans indicated? This also does not address the misplacement of the exhaust which LTL denied having installed. We have not received any documentation of incurred cost from LTL to refute our complaints. WE can provide copies of text communication in which LTL owner [redacted] indicated that the job he saw at our house would not have cost half of what we were charged. We insist on written documentation accounting for the costs incurred during the installation. To date, we have received an adjusted invoice with no balance for the steps that were installed but did not meet our specifications. At no time did LTL ask our permission to alter the plans as their response indicated. If in fact they changed the design, it was without our knowledge or permission as we were out of town at that time. We can provide copies of correspondence during that time period to document this fact.
