Review: I am a physically disabled, extremely low income individual and was looking for affordable housing. Lincoln Hotel seemed ideal until I sent in my application and $45 application fee. After contacting the office to follow up on my application, I was met with disconnected numbers and unresponsive emails. The only contact information I had were all dead ends. It has been two months and have yet to hear from them. Luckily, I have found another residence in another state but the Lincoln hotel should not continuing robbing people of their limited resources.Desired Settlement: At the very least the Lincoln Hotel should contact me concerning my application. I understand as with all rental application fees, mine is not refundable but for the peace of mind knowing that perhaps they are overwhelmed and not thieves. For all I know, they could be selling my information. It is irresponsible business practices for them to continue in this manner. What kind of business responds to an email with an application but is unresponsive for follow up? Disconnected phone numbers? There is no way to contact this business to even inquire about a follow up. I want an explanation. $45 is a huge chunk of money when you barely have anything. They are robbing the poor.
