Review: About two months ago I purchased a 2000 Ford Lincoln LS that didnt run or start at all!!! so my brother recommended me this auto shop to get my car fixed or at least get an estimate on the repairs...(Limon Auto Electric) I contacted [redacted] which am assuming is the owner of the shop and I introduced myself and told him my brother recommended him to me so he could tell me what was wron with my car and if it was worth it to get it repaired... I told him that the car didnt run or start according to the previous owner (previous owner told me it would crank but wont start) I honestly could check that because the battery was dead!!! so I asked ([redacted]) how much he would charge me to tow the car from Los Osos California to Santa Maria California and he said "i will charge you $100.00 which I agreed on.... on the drive back from Los Osos to Santa Maria I asked him if I could pay him for the town truck service and he said.. do you want me to check it or fix it ! I said well depending on how much it is Ill let you know.... the agreement was that he would check it first to see the problem... a few days went by and I called him to ask him what was the progress and he said (i am checking the timing chain and I see its broken- I will order the parts and take it from there, a few days after that conversation I got a ride to the shop with a friend and he said, is this the place where your car is being repaired?? and I told my friend (yea) then my friend told me you should had never brought your car here!!! they rip people off.... and then he told me the problem he had with that shop!!! so I went in and spoked to [redacted] and thats when he showed me that the timing chain was broken... he said I already ordered the parts so I can work on your car.... so he did!! he got my car running but now am being charged $2644.00 wich I see its outrageous!!! he was never clear about how much it would be!!! one time he said if I replaced the engine it will cost you like $2600.00 he didnt replaced it thouDesired Settlement: well I actually need more space to explain the whole incident!!!! I am open for any settlemet ... I just see that he was never clear about the estimate!! one day he said $1700.00 and then when I asked again for the total it jumped to $2644.00 I dont have anything against the shop but when my friend dropped me off there and told me about his experience thats when I started having second thoughts about that shop....... I am open for whatever is best !!!
