Lilly Property Management

Lilly Property Management became the property management company of *** Pl *** XXXXX around July or August 2019. Besides lacking integrity when they claimed to have "lost" our rent check for which they promptly sent a pay or quit notice, they do not remedy nuisance noise that has been ongoing in our unit for the last month and a half. Faulty piping has led to a consistent rattling and pounding in the wall in our bedroom and has forced us to sleep on an air mattress. The rattling can be best heard at night since we live on a busy street and on multiple occasions I have complained about the noise and invited the property manager's supervisor Marlen *** to our unit so that she can hear the noise. She regularly does not respond to email and most recently pretended to not be aware of the issue, despite my having reported it to the property manager multiple times.

As a result of the unremedied nuisance noise and lack of communication, we consulted an attorney who advised us that we can withhold rent. In a retaliatory response, *** has allowed construction/renovation in the unit above us (which includes consistently hammering the floor) to begin at 9am every day and will not instruct the workers to begin any later. I believe this retaliatory response is intended to further disrupt our quiet enjoyment and force us out. The rattling in the wall continues with no action from *** or LPM. While Marlen is unprofessional and chilidish, we will not be bullied or ran out of the apartment at which we've lived for 5 years.
