Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2017/07/13) */ I'm responding to complaint by Mr[redacted] .I did forget to perform one test not done intetionaly but as I told [redacted] from the begining I am not a certified electician so I cannot conect or disconnect any electrical.He has a cerified electrician on his job that can disconnect wiring and perform simple test.As for payment [redacted] has not performed his end of our contract from the begining.On my estimate for his project it states in red that material is paid at time of order[redacted] paid me weeks later and I had already paid for his material[redacted] scheduled his job and when we showed up at scheduled time he was not ready.I showed up with guys and all that was ready was a utility room,so I lost days of work.When we returned to complete job the sliding door was not in.We completed our job and he left on vacation without telling me.so when it came time to pay me again highlited in red I have to wait more weeks,then he deducts 10% of my bill for his mistake of not having door in.Again I have to move a job to finish door so I can get the balance of my money.I feel that with the money I was delayed and had to spend to do his repair on damaged tile and setting back up to finish door [redacted] can pay his electrician to perform that test since he will already be there to disconnect from thermostat.On the warranty 3rd paragraph down on form states In the event that the registration card is not completed Schlueter warrants cable for years.I hope [redacted] can resolve this matter Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 11, 2017/07/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is the first I am hearing about the issue with payment [redacted] came and picked up his check for materials before he ever started the jobHe also picked up his other check less than a week after he was done and his invoice stated when job was complete and it was not complete and is still not complete as tests have not been done but this has nothing to do with the warranty issueHaving a warranty on a few hundred dollars worth of wire wire is worthless if you have to pay several thousand dollars to tear up and reinstall the tile because the manufacturer will not cover it because the installer never did the required tests to activate the warranty [redacted] represented he was an authorized installer for the product and never said anything about the electrician until I contacted him about getting it hooked upthere is nothing on his invoice that says "electrical by others" and I have already paid several hundred dollars for and electrician to do work I thought was included with the jobI need him to complete the test so I can get the full warranty of the products he charged me for and installedWhen the heat didn't work he told me to call the 800# which I did and that is when they told me the tests needed to be done
