My husband and I withdrew our son from Lil' Butterflies Infant Nursery April 29, 2020. Owner *** had understandably closed without warning due to health concerns with COVID-19 a month earlier. She then informed us of the 25% price hike per week April 25, 2020 before she opened again. She let us know she would not follow her own contract both parties signed and would not let us into the building unless we signed the new contract with the $40 a week price increase. We cannot afford that and let her know April 29, 2020 we are withdrawing our son from her day care. We have been trying to get our things back from her in home day care for about a month now. We have called and texted multiple times. Every time she schedules it, she ends up canceling without warning. We want our baby books (they are sentimental and have been in our family for years), baby bottle, and the ceramic thing to make our baby's foot imprint. *** doesn't even have to see us. She can put these things in a box outside her home and we can come get the items. We are frustrated.
Due to illness I was not able to meet with this family as scheduled. I do have a video of the husband picking up their belongings outside my house on May 26, at 4:41 p.m. I also have pictures of the objects that were picked up. I also have a text message that was sent to both families informing them of the price increase. I'd like the Revdex.com to know that during the entire shut down time, I did not charge ANY of the families any tuition fee; and specifically this family was not charged a cancellation fee.
Thank you Revdex.com for your assistance. Lil' Butterflies Infant Nursery Owner did allow my husband to pick up the items outside her home after we filed a complaint with you. This result is satisfactory to us.
Lil' Butterflies Infant Nursery Owner is correct. She did not charge us a cancellation fee; however, we did cancel our baby's attendance by giving the four weeks as is required in the contract both parties signed.
