LifeWatch is in receipt of the billing complaint from the consumer's husband regarding service
A review was conducted (CRM Case number XXXXX-B8H3Y7) regarding the allegations that the patient was told to wear the device for only hours
AEX or Holter service and returned the device but was billed for the service inappropriately
The clinical team does confirm that two transmissions were successfully received but the consumer was ordered (prescription enrollment) from the physician to wear the device for hours plus days
The Billing Manager has reviewed the service, enrollment and transmissions and noted that LifeWatch did follow proper protocol to the order (prescription) and billed accordingly since there was an ACT transmission receivedLifeWatch has contacted the ordering physician and confirmed that the medical office staff members are all aware and educated on the monitoring service
If the ordering physician would like to utilize *** as a *** only (24-hour monitoring) an additional enrollment form must be submittedThe submitted enrollment form indicated "day ACT" and we will continue with the billing for that ACT TTM whether its utilized for the full day period or not
If an updated enrollment or letter from the account/physician is received that states they made a mistake (if in fact this was a mistake) for our documents a retrospective review will be provided
