After joining and paying dues I indicated that I wished to put my membership on hold due to a geographical issue over the next months and indicated that I would pay the monthly hold fee to keep it on hold I was told that I couldn't place the membership on hold unless I came into the club
I then gave them written notice that I wished to cancel the membership since they wouldn't allow me to place it on hold without physical attendance They kept emailing me for payment and indicating that my membership was live I went on the website and indicated that I did not wish to receive any emails but they continued emailing I replied back to each email indicating that I had already cancelled my membership and to stop emailing me But they continue to persist
I spoke with someone who advised that the cancellation cannot be by email or fax - it has to involve "wet ink" which is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard and is obviously only designed to create problems in cancelli
