Flawed management processes
My wife was supposed to pick up a heart rate monitor around July 18th but had medical distress and had to go to the hospital instead and cancel the pick up for the heart rate monitor now that she went to go for the new appointment she is house bound medically and can't go out because of the the extreme heat and lifelabs has no process by which her husband myself can pick it up for her they say they need to fit . We've all had one on before it's not rocket science so in the meantime the doctor who is waiting for results can't get them and my wife is without medical equipment. So in the meantime as this heatwave continues my wife is housebound the doctor is without his results and we are without service from lifelabs

Disturbing service at LifeLabs
I had an appointment at the Life Labs on Wilson Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on May 19, 2022, at 11:35. When I got there the appointments were one hour late. The screen read the next person was at 10:40. They had a staff shortage. I checked in at 11:30 and a young lady gave me the paperwork back clipped to my care card. I then went out to the Wilson Pharmacy to get something. When I got back, I went up to the desk just to see where they were at. I was served by a staff Mike LeBlanc. He said are you checked in, I said yes, I had my paperwork with me clipped to my care card. He was very condescending he wouldn’t listen to me he kept looking at the screen as if he were checking me in again. He then said sit down very curt and arrogantly. Meanwhile the staff member next to him served 4 patients.
So, I sat down, then went back to him again, he took my paperwork that was already clipped with my requisition and care card. He said are you checked in. How rude and uncompassionate. So, he starts to look at the screen up and down and takes quite a few minutes. By this time, I am feeling intimidated and scared to say something. Then he gives me my papers back and said sit down.
I sat and then went back up and said the board says 11:35 my name its my appointment time he said sit down I said I will, but I better be the next one called. By that time the whole office and waiting room was looking at us. I sat down then almost immediately my name was called. At that time my appointment on the board said 11:35 the next appointment was for 11:55. I left at 12:30
So, all in all I was in the LifeLabs waiting room from 10:40 until 12:30. Next thing you know I came down with COVID on Saturday the 21st two days later. I know this is where I got COVID. I have COPD and asthma and I am very careful about where I go. I hadn’t had COVID since it all started over 2 years ago.
