Review: I purchased a used exercise bike, diamondback fitness 510ic, on ebay and sold by lifecore fitness in march 25, 2014 for $525. The bike came with a two year parts warranty. Within two weeks of ownership, the display was intermittent and a burning smell emanated from the bike. I discovered that a flywheel was overheating. I contacted lifecore and they sent a new cable harness and flywheel. According to lifecore, the flywheel was overheating due to the fact I was using the bike on the highest resistance setting and pedaling very hard. There was nothing in writing or advertisement stating that the bike could not be used at the highest resistance setting and pedaled hard. Lifecore sent a new cable harness and flywheel. The display worked but the flywheel kept getting hot. I complained about the bike not operating as advertised and that I never would have purchased it had I known that the user could not use the bike at the highest setting (i.e., simulating hill climbing). I was told that I would have to pay for shipping if I wanted to return the bike at a cost of $200. This was not an option for me. I continued to use the bike with a fan blowing on it. About two weeks ago the bike started making a strange grinding sound. I sent [redacted] at lifecore photos and a video. [redacted] sent a new main flywheel and a new secondary flywheel. I replaced the smaller flywheel and the bike did not have any resistance when I rode it. The replacement flywheel was physically different from the old one, but the grinding noise went away. I contacted [redacted] and he did not know why the bike now had a problem with resistance. He stated that the replacement flywheel was physically different because it was from a different manufacturer. I sent him photos showing that I had installed everything correctly. [redacted] suggested that I send back the flywheel and he would replace the bearings and send it right back. I mailed it via fedex on june 9th and lifecore received it on june 10th. I called [redacted]Desired Settlement: Partial refund of bike. I paid $525 and the bike has had numerous problems. Customer service has been evasive. The bike does not work. I am still waiting on a flywheel and no one returns my calls.
