My son, who was in a good condition, was taken from Sentara princess anne hospital VA beach to CHKD hospital Norfolk (under 11 miles). I confirmed with the hospital before taking the ambulance if the service is covered in my insurance and that I do not have to pay more. It was merely a taxi service, my wife was in the hospital and there were no medical treatments provided (nor it was required). 1774$ is a big deal for us.
