Revdex.com:Since Revdex.com complaints are accessible to the public, I am providing the following in the interest of truth and verifiable fact, to assist others that are having problems with HostBlast, and to correct the wholly inaccurate statements made by HostBlast in their reply:First off, HostBlast did not willingly refund my money. My bank forced a chargeback against the [redacted] transaction for my payment to HostBlast. HostBlast only relented once they realized they could not get my money back (per my bank, HostBlast tried to reverse the chargeback, but my bank refused that request).HostBlast failed to send me a renewal notice for my domain, sending the
domain name into "inactive" status, and then locking me out of that domain, and preventing me from
performing maintenance (renewal or transfer) on that domain, which was the reason for my payment dispute with [redacted]. I was also forced to contact Name[redacted]
(for whom HostBlast serves as a reseller) to get the problem resolved, as HostBlast either failed to respond to my inquiries, and/or take appropriate action to resolve the issue. To serve as a warning to potential and existing customers of HostBlast:Per the Terms of Service of HostBlast, they state, "Disputes:All payments after the first 30 days of service to HostBlast.Net. are nonrefundable regardless of reason or usage. Any incorrect, overcharges or billing disputes must be reported within 60 days of the time the charge occurred. If you dispute a charge to your credit card issuer that, at HostBlast.Net.’s sole discretion is a valid charge under the provisions of the TOS, you agree to pay HostBlast.Net. an “Administrative Fee” of $100 per dispute".Thus, per their own TOS, HostBlast will try to keep your payment, after 30 days, even in event of complete failure on their part.I am accepting the response from HostBlast on this complaint only because HostBlast has publicly agreed to, and concedes on the issue of the refund, a refund forced by my bank, and that HostBlast tried to deny. I encourage any potential customers to do thorough research, using reliable hosting/domain review sites, before paying HostBlast for services.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Hi, Your records shows us that you have opened [redacted] disputes on all payments. However, you tried to transfer your domain away while disputes are still open. Your domain transfer is complete now. We have issued full refunds for your disputed payments and closed your account. Thank...
