Quality-wise, it's pretty sturdy. The leather hasn't complained yet, and the buckle hasn't gone rogue on me. The only hiccup was the DIY sizing part. It's like, “Here’s a belt, now go play tailor.” A bit of a head-scratcher, but I managed. All in all, this SlideBelts Ratchet Belt is a quirky, comfy winner. It’s a small upgrade to your wardrobe that makes a big difference. Plus, it’s fun – who doesn’t love a good click?
Now, the best bit about this belt is the ratchet thingy. No more holes! You just click it to the perfect fit. This is a total win for me cause I hate when belts are either too tight or too loose. The ratchet system lets you adjust it by tiny bits, which is super handy.
Quality-wise, this belt feels sturdy. The leather’s good and doesn’t seem like it’s gonna wear out any time soon. The buckle part is solid too. I’ve been wearing it a lot and it still looks brand new.
The only kinda annoying part was getting it set up at first. You gotta cut the belt to your size, and you gotta make sure you do it right. A bit of a pain, but once you’ve done that, it’s all smooth sailing.
All in all, I’m really liking this SlideBelts Ratchet Belt. It’s stylish, comfy, and the adjustable fit thing is a game-changer. Definitely worth checking out if you’re fed up with regular belts.
Firstly, the design of this belt is sleek and modern. It comes in a variety of colors and finishes, which makes it versatile for different wardrobe choices. I opted for a classic black leather with a brushed steel buckle, and it looks equally great with both casual and formal wear.
The most standout feature of the SlideBelts Ratchet Belt is its ratchet system. Unlike traditional belts with holes, this belt uses a ratchet mechanism that allows for a more precise fit. This design is particularly beneficial as it provides a custom fit – you can tighten or loosen the belt in small increments, ensuring perfect comfort throughout the day. This feature is a game-changer for anyone who finds themselves in-between traditional belt sizes.
In terms of durability, the belt feels robust. The leather is of high quality, and the buckle is solidly constructed. I’ve worn it regularly for several weeks now, and it shows no signs of wear or decreased functionality.
One minor drawback is the initial setup. Trimming the belt to size requires a bit of care, and you’ll need a good pair of scissors. However, once you’ve set it to your size, the ease of use is unparalleled.
Overall, the SlideBelts offers an excellent blend of style, comfort, and innovation. It’s a great investment for those looking for a high-quality, adaptable belt that can accommodate a range of sizes and styles. Highly recommended!
Very unhappy with my $38 slide belt. After a little over a year it looks all beat up, even though I only wore it a few times to work, where I sit at a computer. The finish is peeling off and it looks awful. I have spent $10 on a belt that looks great after a dozen years. Do not buy this. The customer service folks offered a defective replacement buckle or 15% off a new expensive belt. That is not customer service- that's a rip off. Thanks. No thanks. Learned my lesson here. You don't always get what you pay for.
Beyond frustrating customer service at multiple points of interaction, I am disappointed in the quality of this expensive ($45+) belt on which the buckle started to flake its metal coloring (sealant?) in a way I’ve never seen a belt do. When I contacted them about their 12-month guarantee, after a lot of run around and asking me for photos, etc., they turned me away saying that their warranty doesn’t cover any “normal wear and tear.” This is after their customer service agent told me, we do have a 12-month warranty on all of our belts. In that time, if you notice anything out of the ordinary, just let us know and we're always happy to get you taken care of.” That was not at all the case and I don’t think my belt is flaky from wear and tear. It’s very poor quality. Their guarantee, much like their customer “service,” is all name and no substance. It’s a flashy ad with fine print that allows them to disqualify basically all claims.
Similarly, their website offers sales codes that don’t actually work by the time you get through the checkout process. There’s a convenient “glitch” in their system that then pockets them money if you’re already committed to just finishing your purchase.
Lots of sketchy, pure-profit schemes going on in my opinion. It’s clear they don’t like accountability to their customers for the quality of their products, in spite of the empty statement on their website’s warranty page: “We stand behind our belts and would like every guest to be happy with their SlideBelts experience.” That was far from my experience and I regret giving their faulty products a chance.

This company sold me a belt for close to $100. It took two months to arrive. The day I received it, I wore it once and the buckle broke. I have been calling and emailing ever since and they do not respond.
Hi ***,
Thank you for reaching out to us and I sincerely apologize for the delay in our response time. We have had a huge influx of orders this holiday. Have a good day
Bought a slidebelt and buckle in May of 2017. The buckle fell apart last month. 2 phone calls and 3 emails are un-returned so far. My attempts to contact are met with 'we are really busy so leave your name, order number and phone number and we'll call you' messages. Nothing so far. Warranty is one year....but not sure which one I guess. Need a fix here and need it faster than so far.
Good morning,
We sincerely apologize for any frustrations and inconveniences our delayed response time may have caused. We have had a higher than normal volume of emails and calls recently which has caused us to fall slightly behind. However, I want to assure you that we are working hard to get caught up and we are making great progress. I was able to see that one of our Guest Service Guru's spoke with you yesterday over the phone and was able to get a new Gunmetal Buckle sent out to you. We have also emailed you in regards to this as well. Again, we sincerely apologize for any frustrations. If you need anything further please do not hesitate to reach back out to us.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The company contacted me and I consider the matter resolved in a positive manner.
The fire striker on my $150 Survival belt broke the first time I tried to use it. I called the company on 3 separate occasions, every time was addressed with a canned voice mail saying they would return my call. I never once have received a return call. Reached out on Twitter, left my address and contact information there twice, and the only response I got was a message saying that they have tried to contact me, which is not true, I have never been contacted once by them. It has been 5 months now.
Hi there,
I would like to begin by apologizing for any frustrations. We would like to assure you that we did receive one voicemail from you on June 8th at 10:26am and tried returning your call on June 8th at 11:33am. Unfortunately, when we tried to leave you a voicemail, your phone did not allow us to. We then tried calling the telephone number you initially called us from however, we received a message that said the number was not accepting calls at that time.
I was able to locate the order and shipping information regarding the new flashlight/firestarter that we sent out to you July 28th. USPS tracking information shows that the flashlight/firestarter was delivered on Monday, July 31st to the front desk/reception area at 11:45am to your attention at the address provided when you placed your order.
We are happy to honor your request and have issued you a full refund to the means of payment used when purchasing your Survival Belt.
Again, I apologize that we kept missing each other and that you have been unhappy with your experience. However, we do want to assure you that we did reach back out to you in order to resolve your concerns.
Thank you for giving SlideBelts a try! We hope you have an excellent day!
