Working with Lexel has been a nightmare since day 1. I was given a pickup window from 12pm-3pm and the movers didn’t show up until 6:30pm on June 27.
They claimed that I had more stuff than could fit in their truck, even though I told them I was moving a one bedroom apartment. They claim that a one-bedroom apartment is 300 cubic feet. They claimed that I have an additional 400 cubic feet of furniture. I’m a math teacher. How are they calculating this? How do they know I have “exactly” 700 how do you know it’s not 699? 701? 678? At first, this might not sound like a problem. Maybe they round their prices? But no, they don’t. I was told they charge $5.50 per cubic foot. Oh really? Then their measurement system should be precise.
I was going to attempt to sacrifice some of my belongings, but the movers confirmed that they could take all of my belongings at no cost and brought a second truck to my place.
Now, knowing that you can never trust a mover, I labeled everything I owned and wrote down what was taken and which truck it would go in. We agreed that my items would come to Alabama from Massachusetts in two shipments. They were unable to give me a date for the second shipment, but gave me a date on the first half.
I explicitly asked them to take certain items into the first truck, again, in case the rest of the items never arrived or would take much longer than anticipated. Somehow, that got screwed up and items from the second delivery became swapped with items from the first delivery.
I am a paralyzed man and this is medical equipment that I NEED TO LIVE. Originally, I told them that I will not pay for the second delivery to be shipped because that’s not what was agreed to. Again, I would have trashed my stuff if the only other option was to pay more. Had they come on time, there were any number of other arrangements I would have made.
Fast forward to today, July 10 and I STILL don’t have half of my belongings and they STILL don’t know when they can send it. Enough being enough, I’ve been dealing with Nick, a very rude sales associate, and asked to access my stuff in Massachusetts via a friend. They are now saying it costs $90 to access my stuff every time I want to ship something to myself. They claim this is a very busy time of year (during COVID-19?), but I suspect that they really just want me to go away.
I can’t even express the stress and disappointment in this company. I went with them because they were able to give us an exact date of delivery. We were moving from Massachusetts to Georgia.
The packing and loading went ok.... accept for the double of the price. I did expect a higher price as we did have more than expected but not double. And then you are trapped because you need them. Advise would be to have a company come out and give you a true price not an estimate.
The nightmare began when the date came to to deliver our belongings. I dealt with Nick. Our belongings were delayed by 3 days......then the truck broke down in NC. Then the next day they said they were on their way and would arrive next morning. Now NC is only 5 hours away.
Lie after lie after lie.
Even the moving young guys said they came straight from MA.
They start unloading and so many things are damaged.... I mean dressers cracked in half... mattresses soaked. My wedding picture smashed and cut from glass. The list in endless. We take pictures and document. After I pay them they tell me the rest will arrive tomorrow. What ????? So I call my bank and was able to cancel the certified check. The next day they send 2 very unfriendly large men to retrieve a new check before they will unload 2nd truck.
Thankfully not as many damaged items in this load.
I proceed to start dealing with Nick about the damages. The come back with a figure that wouldn’t even replace the soaked mattress.
We go back and forth and I agree on a extremely low price for the damages that occurred. I considered getting a lawyer but wanted to just move on.
When I received the check it was from Lexel and not an insurance company. So my guess the paid me so not to have to go through insurance.
BOTTOM LINE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. UNTRUSTWORTHY
I used this moving company to move from *** to . They lost a few of our boxes and they refuse to find them or give a partial refund. I have called them 3 times regarding this problem.

MOVING & STORAGE
Lexel Movers were fast and efficient, took great care of our stuff. Movers were really friendly and did our move with a smile on the face.
One thing I would have changed is packing. My recommendation would be to leave packing to movers - this will take lots of stress out of the move and will give you many days of
“Freedom”
Hi ***
Thank you for the great feedback! We look forward to serving you again in the future.
Best,
Team of Lexel Moving
I am contacting you to file complaint against Lexel Moving & Storage, Waltham.
We hired Lexel Moving LLC for our move and I have the following complaints against them for unfair business practise:
1. They gave me a flat rate for the move and then changed the rate after they picked up goods
2. They gave me quote for storage (after receiving my list of items) and then changed storage price once they had all the items in their storage
3. They changed the payment option for me. In their quote and on their website, they mentioned they accept credit card but once they received all the items, they forced me to make payment by cashier's check.
4. I paid $100 deposit when I confirmed the move but I never got my deposit back
I provided accurate items list to Lexel Moving and they provided quote for the move on 5/14/18, $1560 for move and $65 per week for storage. I paid $100 deposit and confirmed both the rates. The list I provided had total 825 cubic feet of items. A week before the move, I realized that I had more items and I called Lexel Moving with updated list. I told *** that my new estimate for cubic feet is around 1100 and he told me that flat rate for the move will be same but storage will be $95 per week, which was a little more but I agreed to that price.
They picked up all the items on 6/24/18 and I received email on 7/2/2018 that total cost for the move had increased. New price for move was $2,715 and for storage, it was $157.20 per week. Monthly cost for the storage around Waltham is around $330, the price Lexel changed me was 628.80 per month, which is double the normal storage anywhere else in Waltham.
They never told me that they would change price once they picked up all the items. Once they had all the items in their possession, I had no choice but to accept their conditions. I called *** a few times to talk to him about the price increase but he would not pick up my phone or return my voice messages. He will only send email communication.
They even forced me to get cashier’s check for the payment, which was never mentioned before.
This is unfair business practice and I should not be changed more than what I agreed at the time of initial confirmation.
Could you please help me with this issue?

The person who was coordinating for my move is, *** Lendel, Moving Consultant
Customer had a flat rate deal for 1 truck. In the course of move customer ended up having 2 full trucks worth of household goods.
Adding more items to the move plan resulted in adding another trip with a truck + additional storage space was designated for all the additional items.
Situations like this can be easily avoided simply by taking the time to provide with an accurate information about the move when getting the initial estimate.
Customer was well aware of the upcoming charges and had plenty of time to discuss any possible adjustments prior to the final delivery from the storage.
At this time it is self evident that the reason behind the price increase is the additional amount of goods added.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.
[The response given by Lexel Moving is not true and they responded only to first two complaints. Week before the move, I called them and informed them that I have more items. They said flat rate for the move will remain same and rate for storage will be changed to $95 per week. I agreed to that rate and later once they received all items, they increased rate. They knew I had more items a week before the move and still they sent smaller truck. When I asked driver, he said we didn't have bigger truck available so we brought smaller truck but don't worry, we will make two trips. I should not be responsible if they bring smaller truck for the move when they knew I had more items. Also, I have 4 complaints against them and they only responded for first two complaints. Other two complaints are: Complaint#3: They changed the payment option for me. In their quote and on their website, they mentioned they accept credit card but once they received all the items, they forced me to make payment by cashier's check. This has caused me lot of inconvenience. I had to arrange for cash to make the payment. They never provided any reason for their change in terms and conditions which were agreed upon. Complaint#4: I paid $100 deposit when I confirmed the move but I never got my deposit back.
This is definitely unfair business practice. Customer should not be charged more than what was originally promised and should not be forced to make payment in cash.
Sincerely
Lexel did an excellent job for my family. We had a local move in Boston, I reached out to them on a very short notice and they didn't disappoint. They came in early, we're very professional, packed out stuffs with care in boxes of different sizes to suit various items. Above all, the quote was very affordable. I would definitely be using them again, they were such a reliable and easy team to work with.
This moving company was so awesome. I had to move cross country from Boston to LA and needed alot of help packing up & moving my entire apartment. This company was very professional and easy to talk to on the phone to get a quote and set up my appointment. The day of the move, the team of movers worked quickly but were very careful & meticulous with packing & moving my items into the trucks. The entire process was great and they made everything very easy efficient. I would recommend them to anyone
Thank you for your time and feedback! Lexel Movers are here to help with any moving projects!
Lexel Moving, LLC has wronged us on many fronts. The main issue and the issue I am complaining about today is the service issue regarding the delivery of our belongings from MA to FL. We are missing 6 boxes with ALL of our clothes and other personal items, as well as a chest which is a family heirloom, and a recliner. Not only does Lexel offer no apology, no reason for losing our items, or any plan to replace them, or find them, but they offer no solution to the problem other than "we will look in to it and call you tomorrow". Lexel claims if they find the items, they will ship to us when it is convenient for Lexel, NOT for us, the customer who has already PAID IN FULL. This is unacceptable, as we paid for a service and the full terms of that service are not being met.
Furthermore:
1) Lexel told my wife in person that they have to give a pickup window of 4 hours, 12-4PM. But they will be there between 12-2PM. Instead they showed up AFTER 4PM.
2) The quote they gave us was not based on how they charge! We were told it was $0.60 per pound, and we have that in writing. They gave us a quote for all the items we had (boxes, all the furniture, etc.). We sold two bedroom sets (2 mattresses, 2 box springs, 4 night stands, 2 dressers, 2 headboards), a large china cabinet, a recliner, a kitchen table and chairs, an entertainment center, and a large TV. Removing ALL of those items only reduced the cost by ~$80 because they claimed it was a flat fee and they charge by volume instead. They LIED about the pricing method.
3) We were told to expect our items on 6/9/18, they were not delivered until 6/10/18.
Dear Revdex.com,
This message is to inform that all items were delivered as requested. Additional discount was applied and inconvenience fee was also payed out to the client.
Dear client, we apologize for the inconsistency with the delivery and we thank you you for the collaboration on resolving the matter.

Team of Lexel Moving.
I moved my 2 bedroom house from Newton mass to Long Island, NY a month ago. We had 3 movers packing and loading the truck and 2 men unloading on the next day.
Everything went fast and I could tell the movers very really careful with our furniture. I would give 5 stars if I could. Highly recommend this company!
thank you for your time and feedback!
