Review: I purchased a tire from Levi's on May 24. They stated that they didn't have any USED tires for my Toyota Celica, but they had a NEW one in stock. Two days later, on May 26, I was driving to work on Poinsettia and Business Park Drive on the border of San Marcos and Carlsbad, when suddenly the tire literally imploded, and crumbled into a dust like substance, nearly causing a traffic accident as this was during the early morning commute hours. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the tire must have been old, or sitting in the sun, etc. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I contacted a coworker to come and get me, while also calling Levi's to tell them they needed to come get the tire, put on my spare, and take the rim back to the shop to re-tire it and return it to my vehicle. We waited on the side of the road for someone from Levi's to come meet us, by sending them our GPS location on Google Maps, and these guys literally took 45 minutes trying to find us, with our exact location, and directions a 2 year old could have followed. Once they got there, they immediately began making excuses. They did not return the rim and tire, and required I drive to the store after work on my spare. When I arrived, I was basically verbally belittled and bombarded at the store by the manager and two other employees who stated that this tire, "Must have been slashed, or I must have hit something." There was nothing in the road that could have been hit, and absolutely no evidence the tire was tampered with. It was a [redacted] tire, sold by a [redacted] business. This place is so shady I doubt they even have a valid business license. They not only refused to refund my money, but they also refused to replace the tire and attempted to charge me full price, 2 days after purchasing a "Brand New" tire from them, which they also said didn't come with any sort of warranty.Desired Settlement: I have since gone to Discount Tire in Oceanside, and paid LESS than what I paid Levi's for a brand new tire with a warranty. I would like to be refunded for the faulty tire I was sold, which literally caused me to get an occurrence point for being late to my place of employment, and potentially endangered my life by nearly causing a traffic accident on a busy morning commute.
