Leon Springs Car Wash Express

This email is in response to a complaint registered with the Revdex.com by ***.My name is Billy *** and I am the owner of Leon Springs Car Wash.The incident happened on 9/26/2020 when Mr. vehicle was washed at the car wash. The rear driver's side tire lost air pressure and became flat because the valve stem had become pulled out of the tire in the tunnel. The tire was undamaged but the tire pressure sensor and valve stem were damaged.Mr. had installed aftermarket valve stem caps on all four tires. These caps were longer than stock and protruded significantly past the normal profile of stock valve stem caps. We have washed tens of thousands of cars and never had an issue with a flat tire. We have signs (three of them) at various locations clearly visible and they all state that we are not responsible for non-factory aftermarket items that are damaged or that cause damage. The policeman that showed up was shown these disclaimer signs. After conducting his investigation, he concluded that this was the customer's fault because of the non stock valve caps.There have been very rare instances where the wash did cause damage and in those cases where we were at fault we were glad to repair any damage. We pride ourselves on being honest and being accountable for any wrongdoing.I feel bad for Mr. having his valve stem and tire pressure monitor damaged. I even offered to pay $20 of the repairs as an olive branch.....he refused. I still have a standing offer to Mr. to pay half of his repair even though I was not at fault.Thank you,Billy
