Highland Van & Storage has been affecting my life on a very NEGATIVE Experience for the past 4 years! I moved from White Rock BC to [redacted] BC in August 2012. When I requested my quote from them, I asked them specifically to go high as financially I could not handle any surprises! The quote came in at $5385.74. I had to insist they come to my home to be sure this would be an accurate quote and took them through my entire home and showed them everything that would be moving with me.
On the day of delivery, they called me and said, you owe us $3494.92, or they wouldn't unload my belongings. They had already debited my credit card for $5476.09 After pleading, crying etc They finally agreed if I gave them my last $1000 in cash to my name, they would unload my belongings. In total I paid this Company $6476.09. For the past 4 years they have been reporting me and hugely affecting my credit rating. Which has made the interest rate on my mortgage signifigantley higher for the passed 2 years. PLEASE be aware... I have moved many times in my life, many!!! This has NEVER happened with any other moving Company. [redacted] I can only pray this is resolved once and for all. I have requested they stop claiming I still owe this Company $2981.17. And, to please fix the damage they have done to my credit rating! Not to mention the damage they caused to much of my furniture.

Review: A faulty fuel pump was installed in my BMW which came with a warranty. The Pump had to be replaced within 2 weeks of installations. I returned the faulty pump to the shop as advised. I was then issued 2 Checks from the company that bounced after 7 months of back and forth calls with the owner. I still have yet to be reimbursed and was charged 50.00 more to the bounced checks. I live in SC and can not just fly to new york and the owner is aware of that.Desired Settlement: I would like my 860.00 refunded along with the bounced check fees.

Review: I took my car (2006 Mercedes Benz cls 500) to [redacted]s auto shop on Saturday September *, 2013 after noticing a squeaking noise coming from the front right wheel of the vehicle. [redacted] and I took a test drive around the block and he put my car on a car lift to diagnose the problem. After 15 minutes at the auto shop, [redacted] told me the left and right upper ball joints and the lower control arm bushings had to be replaced. He quoted me a price of $242 for the parts and $158 for labor, a total of $400. He told me to come back Tuesday morning with the car because he would need to order the parts from the Mercedes Benz dealer. I returned on Tuesday morning with the car and gave [redacted] a deposit of $200. He told me he would call me if there was any problem and that the car would be ready the same day. I was unable to return on Tuesday to pick up the car because of work. I returned to [redacted]’s Auto shop on Wednesday, 9/**/13. I met [redacted] at the shop and asked him how everything turned out, he told me that the “bushing crumbled as he was taking it out but that everything was fixed”, I asked him if I could test drive the car before paying the remaining balance but he insisted that it was fixed and that the only reason he was still open was because I called earlier and told him I was coming after work. I gave [redacted] the remaining balance of $200 and he handed me my car keys, he told me the car was parked a block up the street from his shop. I got in the car and everything looked fine, as soon as I drove up the block, no more than 100 feet from where the car was parked, I heard the same exact squeak coming from the right front wheel, I made a U-turn and returned to [redacted]s auto shop. I met with [redacted] and told him the car was still making the same exact noise from the same wheel, He told me to come back the next day and that he would put the car on a lift so we could both check out the problem. I returned to [redacted]s Auto shop on Thursday September **, 2013 at 9am just as we had agreed to the previous day. [redacted] and I took the car for a test drive and he agreed that the squeaking noise was still coming from the right front wheel. He remarked that it wasn’t as bad as when I gave the car to him for it to get fixed but I replied that I wanted the car fixed and back to its normal. Over a 6 hour period, [redacted] had 4 of the mechanics working at his shop test drive the car and put the car on a lift several times, They all agreed that there was a noise coming from the wheel but none of them knew how to fix it, one of them sprayed wd-40 on the bushings and asked that we take the car for a test drive, the same noise was still present during the test drive. After going on more than 4 test drives with different mechanics and having my car put on the lift over 5 times and spending 6 hours at the shop; I told [redacted] it was obvious he or any of his mechanics could fix the problem. I asked him for a refund of my money but he refused, he suggested that I come back another time to have him look at the car again. I refused and told him that I would report him to the Revdex.com, the NYC office of consumer affairs and that I would file a case with the small claims court against him.Desired Settlement: Cash Refund.
