I contracted with Leisure *** to put in an "ELITE" walk in tub. During his sales talk the salesman said that a new feature with this tub was the heated seat. He said this feature would prevent you from getting into a cold seat which would be cold until the water got up to that level. We immediately said that we wanted that feature and he acknowledged that. He continued with his presentation and we purchased the "ELITE" tub. Work crew arrived Jan 5,2019. They almost completed the job on Sun. 6, 2019 at about 8:00 pm. when they asked my wife and I to come back to the work area so they could show us how to work the controls. Everything went well until I asked my wife if she heard him say anything about how to turn on the seat warmer. She said no. I asked the crew leader how do you turn on the seat warmer. He said this one does not have a seat warmer. I told him the salesman told us this one did have a seat warmer and I heard him tell someone in the office which door the unit should have and the seat warmer. He called because he said if they had the model we wanted "in stock" he could give us a discount. They said they did have it and we completed the deal. The crew leader said the salesmen always say stuff like that to make the sale and that he ends up having to fix everything. He said the office would call me Monday. When I got home Monday after noon, my wife said the Pete ***s called about the tub and said for me to call him when I got home. I called Mr.s when I got home around 6 00 pm. He said he was told about the problem and that he had ordered a heater and would have the crew install it when it came in and that he would not charge me for it. I told him that he was not doing me a favor as that I had already "paid" for it when I purchased the tub. And that I did not purchase a rebuilt tub. I wanted a tub that had the heater factory installed. I explained to him that I spent 25 years in the auto industry and that after market installations are never as good as factory installed. He said "you will never get a new factory unit."
We have replaced the walk-in bathtub that was originally installed, with a walk-in bathtub with a heated seat. Mr. has told us that he would be submitting a email to retract the complaint. Please feel free to contact us if you should have any further questions.
